Rev completed this album. Rev wrote the music for this whole album and the lyrics a lot of the lyrics anyway. The REV is ALL OVER his finale and for that, I thank him. Jimmy finished the album himself, handed over the guys and said this album is done. Went home, made himself a Brompton Cocktail and left us all wanting more.
@Bloodtoxx Жыл бұрын
According to the band, a little over 60% was written by him. Pretty big exaggeration, but much of it was, yes.

Mike portnoy played drums in this album.
@SigTheSauceMan8 ай бұрын
@@raymckean1035 Portnoy only did the final recordings on a real drum kit. Aside from adding slight Portnoy-brand touches, he played exactly what Jimmy had recorded on an electric drum kit in the demos.

Before the shift when they play this live, they get the crowd chanting a loud HEY through the shift into the heavy and the stage lights up with fire/flames and that included their deathbat too I had the honor to see them after the Rev passed on the Nightmare tour with Mike Portnoy filling in and it was 🔥🔥 #RIPREV foREVer
@puppetmaster85512 жыл бұрын
I saw them right around that same time with portnoy too, honestly I think that was their peak as a live band, shadows voice was the best it ever was right during that time period and everyone else’s playing was as good as it had ever been

Yes!!! I’ve seen them love too! And when those flames pop up on that it’s….chilling the whole song gives me chills.

I got to see them on that tour too! They had Three Days Grace open for them! That was my first time seeing them live, I ended up seeing them again on the Welcome to the Family tour, and the Hail to the King tour. They are just amazing live. The first time I had actually heard Buried Alive it was live just like you said, holy shit was that an experience.

I'm really happy every time you make A7X. it's been my favorite band for years and I never get tired of listening to them every day. I love your criticisms and seeing you listen to them because often they are badly criticized and have many people who hate them and yet they are so full of talent that I could never understand this hatred. Thank you again and can't wait for a next song.

Easily my fav A7X song. It’s such a beautiful masterpiece that hits a sick breakdown and finishes with insanity. The melodies and harmonies, the solo from Syn, the the shift to the intense riff and breakdown, the sick vocals, and the rapid fire riff to end the song. This is perfection imo.
@Grant_Sheppard Жыл бұрын
This ones my favorite one too. Its beautiful and peaceful in the beginning and verses, then the chorus and ending is heavy and awesome. And ofc great vocals, great riffage and solos, and great drums. I love everything about this song.

I heard this song live for my first listen. They started out slow with blue lights and the melodic singing. Then they shift to purple lights as Syn starts shredding right before the shift. Then the shift happens and they blast the pyrotechnics and all the lights turn red and orange and the crowd was going fucking nuts. Damn, that was an experience. It Made the song an instant top 10 A7x song to me.

Guys you NEED to react to their bohemian rhapsody “A Little Peace of Heaven” it was written by the Rev and it’s a masterpiece voted by the fans to always be played at their concerts. Also Critical Acclaim. As for the Stage album, you have to react to Exist. It’s actually the history of existence translated into music. From nothingness to current day. It’s their most epic piece.
