I've got the matching side cases. Only 25L, but plenty big enough for a solo weekend away. I love the combination lock, so quick and easy when on the move but i never leave them on the bike. Great review. 👍

Have one. Clearly there are more secure options but if you want something to take on and off the bike quickly and is easy to carry then it’s great. Comes down to how you indeed to use it. It does look great on the bike.

Excellent review as usual, many thanks. Its not only smaller bikes either, my KTM GT can only take so much on a carrier because of where it fastens on the bike and the design of the actual available carrier itself . Some BMW's have the same issues. So the lighter the top box the better.

Great review. I need a lighter version for my Niken GT as I found my Givi V47 and my Dolomiti setup too heavy for the bike. I wanted to make sure the Weightless would work with my M5 plate, and you showed it does. Thanks for the confirmation. From Canada 🇨🇦, great video!!

What do you think is the most aesthetic top box than can fit a full-faced helmet? Still having a hard time finding one that has enough security. This one looks great though.
@mancavemoto2 жыл бұрын
Thats a hard one as they are all ostensibly ugly really. The SW-Motech Trax in black isnt too bad, but the reality is that they are all relatively easy to break into if you know what youre doing. Some are just easier than others

Very well review! What about back support for the passenger? Thank you!
@mancavemoto3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, yes it can work for that, but obviously it’s not as solid as an aluminium or ABS plastic one
@mrbonkers26134 жыл бұрын
I have a Givi V40N. It’s a hard plastic case which takes a full face helmet with ease and has never leaked. It’s reasonably lightweight, although the styling might not appeal to all. Priced around £110.

Do you need it to lock onto the rack? The SW-Motech Pro Rearbag might be a possible option too?

Thank you for your review. Is the mounting system secure and easy to attach/detach? I assume it is since you are carrying your camera gears, but I just want to make sure. (I am currently riding 2017 Ninja 650)

Nice video - as always. What do you like about Givi (and these two top boxes) compared w/what Triumph offers for the Tiger?
@mancavemoto4 жыл бұрын
I chose Givi purely on the basis that they were the only manufacturer I found that made a smaller ally top box. Did you know that the Triumph luggage is also made by Givi? It is their Trekker range which is just rebranded.
@atastefortheroad44754 жыл бұрын
@@mancavemoto I didn't realize that and I'm glad to hear of the partnership. Givi is a very good brand.
@mattgolding755711 ай бұрын
Hey..good review….just wondering whether Givi are missing a trick here…..wouldn’t it be nice if there was some sort of framework available to enable you to mount a box top frame(as they do on some of the harder boxes….im sure something could be fashioned although might be a bit unsightly….) I like the idea of a top box, especially this one (anyone intent on breaking in isn’t going to be deterred by any of the securities I’ve seen…all seem to me to be easily compromised by a mid sized screwdriver and a grunt or two,but would ideally like to be able to mount a tent ontop of the top box ….ove got one of the Khyam motorbike specific tents and the plus is it’s easy up as the poles are pre-installed, however that makes the overall dimensions of the packed tent quite lengthy and you can’t separate the poles easily from the flysheet and inner tent…..first world problems I fully appreciate!

Its fairly sturdy, but it is only going to have limited uses. Secure enough as a detour-ant while you spend 10 minutes grabbing whatever’s at the bodega. I

I have always wondered what valuables are people trying to protect? ......£100 quid worth of socks, pants, tshirts, shorts, shoes, and a toothbrush is all I take in my top box on tour. My most expensive Items are motorcycle gear which costs thousands, Litelock which is locking the front wheel, phone, wallet and passport on my person. Motorcycle jacket getting stolen at cafe stop is more of a worry.

PS ..... BMW has right idea ....... luggage always open on 1300GS as better to lose £30 worth of undies than £500 to replace burgled pannier 🤣
