All these tech journalists are ignorant of the fact that 1440p 240hz panels now exist. The hp omen x 27 is a perfect example of this. I own one. 1440p 240hz panel with very good color reproduction, very close to ips, but it's best of both worlds 1440p and 240hz at the same time. Come on..

This looks like a great monitor. I'm holding off on buying one to see what's shown off at CES. We're too close to CES to make any tech purchasing decisions. A micro led monitor would be awesome.. Or a cheaper oled monitor. Or a monitor with at least 500nits brightness standard that doesn't cost an arm and a leg

Ive had this bad boy for over a month now and love it. I think for someone looking for an all around monitor for creating content, graphic design and on ur down time smashing some fools on COD... this is it. + it just looks clean af! Some gaming monitors go a bit overboard with the rgb and aggressive lined. Sidenote: this pretty much made the razer raptor obsolete unless u really want to pay $100+ for a type c.

I was wondering if you could do the comparison between 144 hz and 120/144hz with blur reduction( ELMB,ULMB,Lightboost,BFI, etc.) Is it worth the extra bucks to go with the monitor which has blur reduction or is it just a simple gimmick? Haven't seen a comprehensive video on youtube regarding this topic. It would be appreciated.

Edgar have you seen the Lenovo legion Y27qg-25? Its 1440p 240 hz on a tn panel. Its a great competitor to the viewsonic. The setback is the tn panel but 240 hz is so great i wouldn't mind it!

I would recommend buying the vg27aq tuf monitor since its cheaper and id say better because its g sync and elmb compatible so it reduces a lot more motion blur while also having g sync which no other monitor has.

There are already other IPS 1ms monitors, like the LG 27GL850. Aorus makes one too, and there is also the Asus tuf VG27AQ. These are actually better because they are roughly the same price as this viewsonic but all 1440p, so unless you really want 240hz instead of 144hz, then get those. Also the Asus one has ELMB sync so you get motion blur redcution paired with g sync/freesync instead of other motion blur reduction technologies which cap your frame rate with vsync.

Its DP 1.2 not 1.4...they cheaped out in regards of the G-Sync module and used an old one. Because of that you can only set the monitor up for 8bit and not 10bit (bandwidth limitations)

I currently Been gaming with a 24 inch 144hz 1ms g sync TN monitor for a few years. I mainly play competitive games like overwatch, paladins, battlefield but recently been playing story base games and the colors looks very washed out. I will get this up grade for this monitor very very soon. Need that IPS.

This monitor caps out at 165Hz, not at 240Hz. The backlight bleed is not too bad but I noticed how extremely vibrant the colors are I was very surprised that looks better than the average IPS and the black on the bottom taskbar is pretty black and also the fact that this one comes with Native g-sync

Apple Sqce you should wait for the 300Hz monitors, those will obviously cost a lot more but it’s another 60 frames and the more frames your eye perceives, the faster you react. Also you see everyone a few milliseconds earlier.

I have one, it's not worth it unless your going to really really use it. Back lite bleed is bad but you don't notice it at all once playing a game. The panel is actually glass! That's nice... It is a LG panel IPS is mostly owned by IPS, that's there tech Nano. like Samsung own what every it's called.

The hp omen x 27 is a 27 inch 1440p 240hz monitor and it only comes at $168 more than this one and even that isn’t the holy grail. That would be an ultrawide 1440p 144hz display at a reasonable price.

splashingwater honestly I like it a lot, haven’t got any problems with it so far and my games look amazing, i did upgrade my entire setup though, got the rtx 2080ti so you know that thing is fire, overall, I’m happy, and I will not return it, I’d say go for it, in my opinion, it’s one of the best high refresh rate 1080p monitors out there but idk i did like this one though AND it’s cheaper than the ASUS , so it’s up to you 😁, I hope this helped.

I mean, this monitor is basically 100%. Game, work, Graphic design, movies. You should have been a bit more enthusiastic though. I am crazy for this monitor and the Tag as of now is somewhere around $550, but there will bee lower prices. Low prices and Close to perfect feature! DAMN Viewsonic!
