You have no idea what you’ve done for me. The best food is the one that brings back good childhood memories ♥️🥰 My Mom was a single mom. She couldn’t afford much for me and my sister but the one thing she always did was buy us this cookie!!! My sister and I use to take our time eating this cookie because we didn’t want it to end. You’re the only one on KZbin that has provided the recipe for me. Well at least the best recipe so far. Thank you 😢❤

Just made these tonight they came out perfectly. I did use one stick of (114g) butter and (114g) of shortening. And 1/2 cup more flour. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Two parts of making cookies that I love the most. I love the first bite of each type of cookie as it comes out from the oven and you wait impatiently for the cookie to cool enough to test out! And then the other favorite part is when all the dishes are cleaned up and you look at all of your hard work and how beautiful and tasty everything is and you cannot wait to share! It brings back all of the years that I had baking with my mom who past away a long time ago. Memories of holidays with love!

i said i was going to make those a month ago lol but today was the day and i substituted coconut oil for shortening and taste just like i bought them from the panaderia! ty so much :) it tastes like christmas here! oh i did add 1 tsp of corn starch bc the coconut oil was very runny so i thickened it. turned out awesome :) oh for anyone who doesnt know what mexican sprinkles are they are the non-pareils. just google that. also apparently coconut oil will make them crispy so you dont have to wait 45 min for them to cool, you can eat them right out of the oven they dont have to lose softness.

I just made these for Easter & everyone loves them. I made them with my son in mind who at 25 still loves the big sprinkle cookies. I will say when I added the milk it stayed very liquidity but once the flour was added the dough was fine. So it is very forgiving.

The cookies without egg are what they call a "short dough" where the proportion of fat to flour is very high. It would also be a great dough to make tarts. Don't you think mini dulce de leche or cajeta tarts sound good? You can also make alfajores the dulce de leche sandwich cookie with the dough because the cookie needs to have some snap. Thanks for reminding me of versatile doughs for cookies!
