Always great to see the aircraft of the SwAFHF on airshows. Was happy enough to see all types of them (both Viggen, both Draken, Hunter, Tunnan, Lansen) during the last years. The double-seat Viggen looks just amazing with their green camo. Great video! Thumbs up! :)

Thanks again - This was the first time I have seen the camo Viggen. Even though the display was muted and on at the worst time of the day for trying to film it was a coup for Southport to get it.

Tunnan was built 1948, let that sink in for a while.

The reason why it was a bleak display is cos it handles different to the single seater hence why there was no wrong rock and there still restricted

That did cross my mind, the extra weight etc... I must admit I am still happy they brought the camo version because I have seen the silver one before.

@@airshowvision I also think it's due to the CAA opinion on vintage jets after the tragic event at shoreham. Plus they haven't displayed here for nearly 5 years. Good to see them back 👍

It sure looks like a Tunnan. Great footage, not something you see every day.

The Tunnan "the barrel" fighter looks really ugly, i guess they went for preformance and not design. Any way both aircrafts were in many ways ahead of their time. The barrel with heavily rear-swept wings and the Viggen with a on purpose unstable construction which with the help of computers became a stable and easy-to-maneuver fighter. When they precented the idea of Viggen, they did not know if there were any computers or software that could do what they wanted to do. They had a vision that the planes of the future would take more help from computers, but going from vision to reality was another matter. But they succeeded and what a nice fighter Viggen are.

With the benefit of hindsight, todays pilots can look at a new particular design and just say "Yeah I wanna flight that" I guess pilots in the past, must have been a lot braver, because with no disrespect that Tunnan is an ugly duckling. But fantastic nevertheless seeing them continuing to soar and roar.
