The famous King Gong show at The Comedy Store London. Comedians fight to survive on stage for 5 minutes, famously the most brutal show in London. Viggo Venn beat the gong without telling a single joke.

One of the comperes at a King Gong at the Manchester Comedy Store told me someone in a wheelchair got on stage and really wasn't very good but because they had a disability the audience wouldn't vote him off. At the end of the night they voted for him to win, he said thanks, got up and ran out of the venue.

Some people are congenitally funny. Comedy comes as natural to them as breathing. I used to teach adult ed and I had one student who usually arrived a few minutes late. When he came into the room, he'd say "Good evening class" and the whole class would crack up. I never understood why it was so funny, but it was. He could make the most mundane statement sound hilarious.
