Hey OSG, for arcade ports, consider placing the footage from the arcade game at the top of the video so we can compare the ports to the original. And maybe just rank the ports since most times the Arcade version will be the default #1.
@oldstylegaming4 жыл бұрын
I have had that suggested before but what happens when I hit games like Silkworm, Toki, Rygar etc where thd home ports are better
@Davidonabus4 жыл бұрын
@@oldstylegaming 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, +1 (better than the original arcade), +2 (better than the original arcade). Maybe something like that?

First Arcade game I completed with one credit! I was 10 years old and thought I was such a badass for being able to do that 😎 Great memories. Although I do remember being terribly disappointed when I got the spectrum version... and when I upgraded to the Amiga, surely it’s an accurate port? Nope 😩 Eventually I got a PC Engine and all was well in the world 😁 Great video. Cheers!

Great video thanks. I remember seeing this back in the day but never played it. Fast forward 30 years and I’ve got the PC Engine port. As you say it’s a lot of fun - the pc engine cover art is pretty out there! Not one to let the kids see!

Little tip for the Arcades last boss use hit and run tactics on him the same as u do on Kung fu masters last boss. Kick him in the stomach but move back when he swings his leg at u and never stand too close to him or u will get grabbed and knocked back.

I used to play this in my local cafe while skipping school lol, I had the ST/Amiga version back then but always drooled over the pc-engine version in C&VG . I always was curious as to why Irem used the name Madonna as the damsel in distress, since Kung fu master was loosely based on Wheels on meals aka Spartan X ..the Jackie chan film, where Thomas was played by Yuan Biao, rescuing Silvia (Delores Forner) *former Miss Spain, I mean Madonna literally translates to 'our lady' in Catholicism, but Im sure it's more likely Irem took a cheeky punt on the Pop singers popularity at the time, she could've very likely sued.lol

Welcome back m8! I was never a fan of the arcade game tbh so I ain't played any of these.
