WHAT GOD TOLD ME ABOUT USING 'JESUS CHRIST' AS PROFANITY

Have you ever asked God what HE thinks? I heard the name 'Jesus Christ' used in vain/profaned repeatedly recently, and it led to this.
Vain - to use without effect.
Profane - blaspheme.
Jesus - The reason I make videos. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in Him would not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16

@ayy Heloo I personally think fasting is soo important, fasting doesn’t just apply to food, it could be social media fast, TV fast, and during that fast seek God and ask Him for help, spend that time you spend watching Tv to focus on God, I know it’s hard but it more than worth it because after you will realise you didn’t even need it in the first place, that happened to me with my phone, because we cannot overcome things ourselves we need to let the Lord guide us and lead us and set us free, who the Son sets free is free indeed, the Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak, so feed your Spirit with the word and prayer rather than feeding your flesh with TV, train your appetite with the word and prayer, and you will be set free, in Jesus name ❤️

Honestly speaking, I was too addicted to Lust, Movies, secular songs etc. I felt like, the movie and lust was my daily apetite or more like an addictive drug. I asked GOD to show me any way possible, so that I can get out of it. I thought, why didn't GOD ANSWER ME...... BUT HEY,,,, GOD answered me. I saw Vihans Videos, which was really motivating. But still I didn't feel a kick start inside me to initiate that big step in the Track. The Track where doors get narrower . The Track to ETERNITY. Then I started replacing all secular, scifi, action movies with Christian movies like Warroom, Breakthrough, Courageous, Overcomer, The Shack, Facing the Giants, God's not Dead 1 , 2 and 3and many more. These movies really changed my life. But still watching movies is an addiction😄 NO WORRIES if you watch it twice a week 🙂.. This was my start to avoid secular things and Focus on GOD. I started to destroy my lustful heart by praying to Lord GOD to fill me with HOLYSPIRIT. I accepted Jesus as My Lord And Saviour. Honestly speaking...... I'm am a free Bird In Christ. I changed my settings in my phone so that no secular videos can disturb me.... Honestly speaking I hate all secular music videos and much more. And that's the fruit of Holyspirit that grows inside you. Galatians 5:22-23 [22]But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23]humility, and self-control. The day I was convicted of it a few months ago I was unable to watch them again, even though I was someone who used to *binge* watch TV shows/ Dramas I never really felt a desire to watch them again. However, that doesn’t mean we should look down on those who still do watch secular movies. “Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭14:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ God works with all of us in our struggles and his grace is sufficient for us in our weakness.

@ayy Heloo Hi! At the time I’d found no fault in watching secular TV. Unknowingly, I was trapped in idolatry, I was idolizing K Drama. Ever since I decided I want to pursue fellowship with Christ, God has been working with me in things like habitual sin and in purifying my life. I really wanted to live for Christ, but I believed the excuse that had deceived me for so long, like “I don’t have time to read my Bible” or “I don’t know how to study the word”. One night, I was watching a K Drama series with 30+ episodes that were + - 1hr each. ( Surprisingly it didn’t bother me that I’d spend so much time on this, the devil is so slick) I had just finished watching a very “touching” scene that made me tear up a bit. I was so excited to continue watching and see what would happen next but in that moment I felt it... a nudge in my spirit. I began to question wether it was alright for me to watch Netflix (although I knew the answer already), so I googled it . I actually went on google looking for articles that would tell me what I wanted to hear, that it was okay to watch Netflix, I skipped through all the articles against it. Then the Holy Spirit convicted me of my intentions. I realized what I was doing but the I thought, “Let me just finish the Drama (I was on episode 16) then I’ll stop watching, but in that moment I felt God saying ‘It’s now or never’ and asking ‘Is this more important to you than I’, I felt led to stop and delete Netflix altogether. I did immediately, I confessed and asked for strength to give up this Idolatry that was enslaving me. For many months I was fine, never felt a desire to watch Netflix and the easiness of the repentance impressed me. I was so grateful to God for it. I thought of K Drama a couple of times but I never intended on going back. A couple of months ago, I started watching the Good Place on Netflix because a Christian KZbinr was watching it, a few episodes in and I couldn’t do it anymore, the foul language disturbed me so much that I stopped immediately, I will never watch or listen to something that doesn’t glorify my Lord and Savior or that goes against what he stands for... something that grieves his very heart, the heart of my own heart ☺️♥️ The Love and Zeal I felt for K Drama was meant for the glory of Jesus, and He saved me by Grace. Even when we are unfaithful, he remains faithful. Idolatry is very subtle but a very sticky situation, we must guard our hearts and minds daily. When we feed our soul (A.KA our heart) we allow it to overpower our spirit. As is said on the Bible, the heart is deceitful above all else. Our spirit is meant to guard our hearts (soul) and mind. We must feed our spirit and not our soul. Let this be a lesson to never neglect your Bible, it is God himself speaking to you in it. May the Lord bless you with a love for the truth! I too was addicted to it but got freedom when I cried and prayed earnestly that I need Jesus Christ to be the lord of my eyesight , the lord of my heart , my thoughts , my whole body .. when I submitted my life to him and prayed to him that he has to be the author of my story , the driver for my vehicle called life , which means I needed the fruit of the holyspirit that is self control over everything that I was addicted to, when I did that the holyspirit took control over me and now I dont even have the slightest desire to watch any movies at all . I was really surprised .. this happened the starting of this year 2020 when I heard Ravi Zacharias message about Hollywood and movies and such that I was inspired greatly , and I had guilty feeling before that when I used to watch , but would not think it through and thought it was okay to watch , o boy was I wrong the whole time .. now I'm free and happy in christ that I'm free from all my addictions ...

Whenever I hear someone use his name in vain I shout “hey!! I know Him, Jesus Christ is amazing!” They have nothing to say to that. I’m not correcting them but it’s just reminding them he is real and I feel they get what I’m doing. Also like David Wilkerson said If you watch the movies that say your own earthly father’s name in the same manner would you not be offended? How much more for your God and Savior?? So true

I love this message so much. Some years ago as a baby Christian, i wanted God to trust that when i called His name it was true, so i started actively stopping my mouth from saying it and soon avoiding it became second nature. i would shrug off when people would say om* though, knowing they did it in ignorance because it is engrained in culture... still, wanted to fully understand why it didn’t bother me if it bothers God and that saddened me, i still don’t quite know how to respond emotionally when it flows out of people’s mouth like water. That conviction has since strengthened as I get to know my God more; I could renew myself in why I was honoring His name as our relationship grew. When you talked about Hearing those 3 simple words “that’s my son.” It just about makes me want to cry. It’s crazy how the world can write off Gods perfect will and then you come to understand why it’s important and true. We should be honorable with the words that come out of our mouths, a child of God should not be wishywashy when they speak, they should speak with assurance because language is powerful, so a mans word should be honest and moral as it flows from his heart, and his heart is for Jesus. ❤️

I totally get it, some time ago I got convicted about watching movies or videos which use the name of God in vain (which is the vast majority in the movie industry). I always felt uncomfortable while hearing people use "Jesus" as curse word or just some exclamation and I tried to kind of block it and just not listen to it but then I became convinced and made up my mind that I am not gonna watch something that dishonours the name of God. It's not that I've become so legalistic but I just don't wanna watch this kind of stuff, if I can avoid it- obviously people (unbelievers) around me use it a lot but it's not that I do it willingly as the case is with watching those movies or TV shows for entertainment. Glad for this encouragement and confirmation from your video :) Another gem piece of advice I heard:. I wanna only watch movies/shows/music videos that I can sit, watch and enjoy together with Jesus. Multiple people said no, and then they replied with "so why would you say God's name in vain?" EACH INDIVIDUAL STRUGGLED TO ANSWER!!! Blaspheming the name of the Most High YAH is BEYOND INAPPROPRIATE!! If I ever have any blasphemous thoughts at all, I captivate it, and submit it to Christ, along with any other thought that goes against the Word of God. I remember just wanting to read more bible chapters past midnight cuz i was trying to make up for the days where i couldnt read the bible and i was so exhausted honestly o the point where i was half asleep haha but then I asked the Lord to just give me the energy to finish reading the chapters and suddenly i was not tired anymore! Ive also made the change of not using gods name in vain. Its difficult because you have to think in your head to not say it thus remember the phrase inside your head. i have a friend who consently cusses almost every sentence when we hangout. I pray that one day he will come closer to god and realize what he is doing. Its built into our social language that is hard and i think most people are unaware of it. But its true, you dont hear people say oh my allah or whichever other reglion they believe in. I would avoid it. But wouldn't judge those who felt they had to say, get a verse tattooed on their arm. As Joyce Meyer pointed out- God has 'engraved' us on His hands. We are His tattoos! But I say avoid because we are a Holy Temple of God, and this skin is very precious to God.

Vihan, after watching uer videos, I stopped watching movies(all) except movies related to Christ and even most film songs( some music which I feel fine, I listen..I know, God is comfortable with them)....Because,I don't want to hurt our LORD , I really want to stay away from what makes my mind and heart impure.....( I am not against any movie or song, ITS ONLY MY PERSONAL VIEW, my insight says to block some movies, pictures, songs).

I've always thought why people never use the name of other people as a curse word like : "Napolean!" Hello Vihan, when you talked about your headache I had a similar experience I went to sleep and suddenly had a bad headache, then I started praying and thinking about worship music and in a few moments my headache went away and I went to sleep. 🙏❤️
