Actually the visual clearly references to the Finnish lullaby Päivänsäde ja Menninkäinen. In the song, a "sunshine" sprite falls in love with a nocturnal troll, but their love is impossible, because she dies in the dark and he can't stand the sun. But in the video, there's a solar eclipse so he doesn't ever need to go, and they can be together "always" - Such a beautiful touch honetly, I love the song!

I have listened to this unhealthy amounts - my fave atm. This made, and still makes, me cry with the phrase: "ja jos joskus joudut sen päivän näkemään, ku mun päästä muistot häviää" - in english "and if you ever have to see the day, when my memories are long gone".

this is probably the most beautiful finnish song I have heard in A LOOONG time. Especially to finnish people this hits home super well. Also super proud of viivi for writing such a mature song after releasing an album mostly about break ups. the last lyrics: "And if you have to see it one day When the memories in my head disappear Know, in my heart I will always be with you" that bit breaks me crying haha. I'd be happy to see her shine at eurovision stage but we got 3 more songs to go!

My new NO. 1 at UMK 2025!😍✨️ Eternal love surrounded by Finnish nature, a breathtaking ballad frozen in time just before the solar eclipse swallows all the beauty left in a coldhearted world...🤍🌲🩵 Just wow - I am speechless, and I'm saying this without being Finnish and as a person who usually doesn't listen to pop ballads at all. But maybe I am so euphoric because beautiful Suomi has always been my favourite country, and because my heart is open for ballads that give me goosebumps! And VIIVI is definitely giving this bleeding world a ballad that heals all our wounds and stands out with a voice as powerful as angelic, and with a chorus that made me cry oceans during the first listen. This will be a showstopping moment at UMK, and it would definitely melt a million hearts at Eurovision!🤍💔🔥 As a hopeless romantic, I just can't be untouched if a musical love letter like this heads off to bestow fairy dust on the universe...✨️

She looks lovely, she has a lovely voice with good pipes and she's a natural in front of the camera. In her mouth Finnish sounds absolutely beautiful and one wouldn't want any other language. What I miss is a slightly more catching melody. With this song, she's almost there. Almost but not quite. Perhaps a subtle revamp? There is enough time and it could make a real difference.

Finn here. Viivi actually has other songs with really interesting melody throughout the songs. She also adds a dramatic belch of her raspy voice to most songs at the end. I love her "Lauseet on vaan lauseita" Not sure what happened with this song tho, she did write it and told in interview that "the inspiration caught me" while on a musicwriting-camp, she saw the wedding dress in her mind and wanted a song that people will dance in their weddings. So it makes me think she isn't even aiming for Eurovision xd Which is sad cause her voice could sing amazing power ballads.

Parisuhdehautasmaa, correctly translated, like you had or intimate relationship cemetary. I am not a ballad guy. I usually think they are boring and the beginning was like any ballad I do not like. But by the midway of the song, it had bought me over. The end, powerful, and what really got me off guard was the end. Lyrics. Lyrically the song seems to be very romantic, maybe a little over the top, but there is a touch of sincereity and purity in the ethereality and softness. In the end in the lyrics the text takes you further in this romantic scenery but there is also an ugly truth about life: in the song she will remember the loved ones with her heart if she loses her memory (Alzheimer). In reality Alzheimer will take everything away. I just started crying in the end, when actually the reality does not meet with the idealistic, pure, innocent wish of a love of the lifetime... well, maybe in movies and very few relationships, but...

A lot of Finnish people have really seemed to like this and I can't escape people saying they cried when they first heard it. As a Finn it's my least favourite song so far, and the more Finnish people hype it up the more confused I am because to me it's a very clichéd and not even very interesting as a ballad. I really, really don't want this to win UMK but if it does, I will of course root for her at eurovision

Before i say anything about the song, i just wanted to say that im feeling the hair Tom! Are you growing it? Right, as for the song, i literally agree with EVERYTHING you say about this! I genuinely enjoyed this song and found myself engrossed from start to finish. This currently sits in 2nd place for me of the four soungs so far! Also, this is a less deranged song for Finnish weddings after the madness of Krista Siegfrids in 2013 who demanded "Marry Me'! 😂

I think this could be the best ballad in modern UMK or all time. Kelle mä soitan might still be my favorite. Also Paskana failed to win because vocals were not good enough, but Viivi has performed live on television already and her vocals are good. Not the usual "smooth ballad vocals", but she has some raspiness and raw emotion sounding voice while singing live (which might be more interesting to average finnish people than "pure smooth ballad vocals".). But i still think the next 3 songs has the winner one. Puppy could be either new megawinner or overly weird one that might not win (hopefully either so good that it deserves to win, or so bad that my fellow Finns do not vote for it just to send another funny song 😅). Goldielocks could be a surprise, very unknown artist but seems to have some unique aspects. And Erika is probably going to have good song, but there is chance the song is not "enough" good for Finnish people as it will be compared to Cicciolina.
@patrickuotinen15 сағат бұрын
Personally, not being romantically involved, it is a bit hard to relate to this song. It doesn't help, that during the song she makes short pauses, which to my Finnish ear sound to be in all wrong places. But she sounds like a good singer.

I didn't expect to like the ballad, because ballads are not really my thing. But then my first impression of this was that this is what I have been expecting in UMK, like this is the level I expect the songs to be! I think it sounds amazing! Will it be my winner though? I don't know. I really don't know where to rank this. Do I like this more than Neea's song? 🤔 I still hope some of the three songs left will be more my kind of music, but as far as ballads go, I like this. If we are wanting to send a ballad, I hope it's this one.

Sorry, while I love a good power ballad, I didn't find this one catchy and it didn't hook me enough musically. Again the lyrics are beautiful but sonically I found it boring even though I wanted to like it. I'm sure this song will do well as a wedding song in the domestic market but not for ESC. It's not a strong enough ballad to stand out in the mix. So far this year has been weaker than last year. Guess I have to wait for Vikman.
