Nice. Very informative. Thanks for doing this. Question: some leathercrafters mix Celtic with Viking, for instance there is a talented Canadian crafter (BC) who sails under the name DarkHorse who mixes Celtic knots with Urnes style dragons or serpents. Did the two cultures every mix historically, or is this just a lot of artistic license?

Absolutely, there was a lot of interaction between the Celts (or, their descendants) and the Norse! Norwegian vikings were the main group to invade Ireland, but all of the Scandinavians touched down there at some point or another. You might see references to Hiberno-Norse or Insular Art styles when talking about the melding/mixing of these two cultures.

I'll see if I can get a link to put in the description, search for Triglav Viking and Slavic Ornamental Design, I think they sell them on Etsy? Or someone resells them there?
