I just bought a pair of Viking bags for my ‘04 VXT 1300C. They look great out of the box. Mounting them looks to be more of a challenge than I originally thought. I did not get a solar charger, flashlight, or inside bags like I’ve seen on social media posts.

Everything you said about these bags is 100% accurate. The installation was an ABSOLUTE PAIN. I dread having to take them off for anything. I hate the Viking logo as well. But otherwise, they do they job I need them to do. They do work well for my travel needs with an extra bag sitting behind me on the seat.

Have you seen the leather wrapped option? I like them and they cost less than the painted ones

I would order if they did not say Viking and if they actually mounted right up. I do not want to fabricate or drill anything.

The Viking plate is horrendous. I guess you could paint it black which would help.. or rip it off. They are “supposed” to be quick mount… but that’s a roll of the dice. Still great for the price. Advanblack do decent bags too.

They would look ok if they didn’t say Viking in huge letters in the center of the bag. Fail

Yep, totally agree. I would take it off but think it’ll ruin the paint too much.
