Turn your key first and prove to me that your battery is dead, that will give me a true reading to if this battery jumper pack is worth buying

He started the car with only the jump starter, with the positive cable disconnected from the battery. So it definitely does work. Normally you would not take the positive cable off the battery to use the jump starter.
