Viking Line M/S Viking Cinderella inside

Viking Cinderella will always hold a very special place in my heart. My mother was from Finland and our family lived in southern Sweden and we went to Finland atleast once a year and I was facinated by these huge "finlandsfärjorna" (Finland ferries) as we used to call them. I always got a hold of the latest Viking Line brochures (this was just before the Internet) with all the Viking Line ferries and I learned all the ferry specs like length, beam, passenger limit etc. I was a complete nerd. =) One time we went over with Cinderella and I happen to turn 14 years old that day. My parents had secretly asked the crew if we could go and see the brdige, which after they consulted with the captain surprisingly said yes to. So we - my mom, dad and I (my two older sisters didn't wanna), went to the bridge and it was like in a movie, completely dark outside and all these lights and screens high and low across the whole 30 m wide bridge, such a sight. Like we'd entered a UFO. The captain showed us around and answered any questions for over an hour. Suddenly when I was seated in the captains seat it started beaping from the console. The captain said, - Right, it's time to change course. - Push that green button there. I pointed - that one, I asked? Yes indeed. So I pushed the button and Cinderella changed course by 2 degrees with over 2300 passengers on board. I tell you, I couldn't have asked for a better birthday.

Djeez, you would expect some new carpeting at least... Disappointing vessel. (Who has designed the interior, especially the colourscheme? Just hiddeous. (like on all the older Viking Line vessels...)

Hauska idea tehdä walk trough video. Olen Port Monkeys kanavalta katsellut läpikävelyvideoita. Siellä on monesta Karibian paatista lyhyempi noin 20 min video sekä pitkä noin 50-60 min läpikävelyvideo. Ite tietty suosin pitkiä versioita.

Olin lapsena Cinderellalla. Katselin isoista ikkunoista ulos ja laivan vierelle ilmestyi vihreä helikopteri jonka avoimella sivuovella istuva ukko näytti peukkua.
