Very well made blade. I will point out one thing though. When you grind I feel like having the belt spinning horizontal and the blade vertical makes you work harder then making the blade and belt parallel with each other . Just a thought to pass on and that is still excellent craftsmanship.

hey Phil. is there a design out there that allows for a changable handle? my understanding is that because you attached the primary pommel piece to the tang that the shelf life of the sword is essentially limited to how long the wood will last.

Hi Phil, I am a huge fan of the work that you do! just a quick question, I saw that you quenched the blade but is that where you stopped in that process? I’m sure you had to edit some things out for time purposes but just curious. Thanks for another awesome video, keep up the great work sir!

After I quenched it, I took it off camera and and clamped it up between to 2x4s to try to ensure it would harden straight. The shot of me checking the edge-harness with the file is a few minutes after pulling it out of the quench. Hope that answers your question, thanks for watching!

I love everything about this video except the audio track. You might turn off audio or even have music instead of power tools or hammering.
