The screenplay was written by Dimash and he spent 3 years composing the music. This was obviously a labor of true passion for peace and harmony. He is truly a remarkable storyteller and human being. We are blessed to be alive in the time of Dimash.

Hello friend! Thank you for your sincere reaction, you got so much of the plot right, way to go! When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least! 😥 Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, and also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony. He is a Legend and will go down in History. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform. 1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son at the end, born in his father's image and who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war. “People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead, For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love and harmony. I’M CHOSING LIFE!! 🙏🙏 See you in your next reaction. Love from Canada 💖

I noticed some reactors deeply affected with the sad parts of the video but couldn't figure out how to connect it with the different religions scenes and The Pilgrim Dimash. Great explanation! i"d add one thing. The medallion is part of a compass, a "moral compass". The Piper rejects the gift, doesn't put it on and bends it. When the symbol is used militarily the center is closed.

This masterpiece has shaken all of us, it is a plea for peace, Dimash scream is a desperate call to think for ourselves and change our sad destiny if we continue to follow mistaken leaders or symbols that just divide us and have made us lose the horizon. Love is the answer to live a better and fair life for everybody. What a pain to see us, as humanity, reflected in this MV. 🥹🥲🌹💔🎤🔝 “The Story of One Sky” was composed by Dimash and the script of the MV was written by him also. It took him three years to finish it. Dimash and his team worked very hard to make it and all of them deserve we show appreciation for the amazing artistic work they’ve done. “It was perfectly scripted and beautifully acted" 👏👏👏☮️☮️☮️

These are my views on this amazing masterpiece Story of One Sky - I have watched this many times and still find things out that i never thought of amazing video and i have said it before if anyone could bring peace i strongly believe Dimash could make it possible. This needs to be shared worldwide to show people there is another way. War is never the answer because the only ones to suffer are the innocent. Rewatched the song of Dimash today one line stood out to me One of the most profound lines in The Story of One Sky is the line "Learn to share the love, Not shares" Not shares meaning stop making money out of war rich people have many shares in companies that profit from weapon manufacturing making them richer while the innocent suffer sadly this is why war exists. MONEY, GREED and POWER. The boy who was drowning was (Dimash's character as a child) made the necklaces that were given to the girl who grew up to be (Dimash's pregnant wife) and the boy who saved him who (grew up to be the military leader), possibly out of jealousy. The military leader waged his war The part in the video with the little girl and the people in the hallway were Dimash's family who had been wiped out the little girl whose body he picked up was his daughter, the baby that was born was his son who grew up to be Dimash grown up at the end!!! The Dimash at the end can also be seen as Dimash in the afterlife leading others to the light in peace. Something else i noticed is in his dying breath he sang (We're Choosing Life) as he finally passed away now that is powerful

the film is based on a story written by Dimash with his own screenplay. (I worked on this piece for 3 years). Director Alina Veripya spoke about creating the music video for the new song: the clip is divided into several parts. The first is about childhood. The main character, two friends linked by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. One day the friend saves the protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in these children's story, where the boys love one girl and she chooses one. The second goes through a kind of psychological The disintegration and transformation of children's problems into an adult world of totalitarianism and struggle. When he becomes a commander, the opponent carries the idea of saving the war: the young boy who presents the tokens of friendship he made will marry the girl (Dimash). She will give birth. A baby girl (murdered) and a mother waiting for another baby. Friends were scattered, and the third friend became an enemy, friends are enemies, because of the war, It is shocking how the cry of true helplessness of a father embracing his murdered daughter is practically coupled with the cries of a woman in labor who brings a child into the traumatized world of soldier (Dimash). That he was searching for his family and that he had found the dead body of his daughter and I think believing that his pregnant wife had also died, and felt the death of life, he decides, as the only way out in that moment of uncontrollable pain is revenge. He killed the evil embodied in his opponent, and then was killed by soldiers' bullets. ,and when Dimash died, his son was born, and the mother died during childbirth. But the boy is saved by his society of different religions and races, he wears his mother's talisman. He will surely grow up and become a messenger of peace on earth, like a worthy son of his father.A symbol of a future without evil, without wars, a world moving towards peaceful coexistence. The light of hope and peace on earth,In a world without walls, without unfair constraints, without differences or contempt for different ethnic groups or nations because the supreme value above all is: love and peace We are all human beings, we share the same planet Earth, and we owe each other as "brothers" the respect for life. In the end, he joined with people of different races and religions from another era that touches the present and the future In a world without walls, without unfair constraints, without differences or contempt for different ethnic groups or nations because the supreme value above all is: love and peace We are all human beings, we share the same planet Earth, and we owe each other as "brothers" the respect for life. ,Piper represents the force Totalitarian, oppressor who is not alien to us and who understands that war is the way to make people free (real nonsense).Piper (is the name of a soldier's opponent, a soldier who only hates, annihilates and destroys. What a paradox for a friend who, in his childhood, saves soldier Dimash from drowning. But life is like this, full of changes, good and bad, Evil, war and contempt happen when we lose love for one another, and our way to God and making peace and love in the world is not difficult but possible if we work together for love and peace and stop wars, hate and contempt. It is about calling for cooperation, to save lives, love, friendship and the land of our children. “Art is a sacred message in life, and these are the true artists.. And the earth needs these reformers in their precious, true and immortal work for the sake of love and peace on earth..Thank God for his gifts

Here is a few things to help understand all the aspects of the story of The Story of One Sky. It is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting. Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I only touch on some of what struck me in the symbolism. The music is a dissertation all by itself. The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. In the MV, the child who later becomes the military commander never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, the boy, gives his friend the pendant, the camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl. Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through, as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers. Contemporary music is also present: With the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. It is the only way. The storyline is a very human one: we start as innocents until our hearts are broken, we fail, or our dreams are not realized. If in our pain and disappointment, we turn to anger and blame instead of acceptance, power instead of love, greed and envy instead of generosity, hatred instead of forgiveness, and revenge instead of justice, we sow the seeds for conflicts that can turn into war. The Piper's call is seductive as it promises redress for our grievances, control over our circumstances, and power over those who thwarted us, and this appeals to our wounded ego. However, let's remember that the Piper is a symbolic figure of Death from the Middle Ages, often used as a metaphor for trusting and following charismatic but dangerous and malevolent leaders to certain death. Even if we resist, as the adult Dimash character does, we often employ the same methods and weaponry as the Piper, and thus those who fight back betray peace as well because peace cannot be won through violence. That is the dilemma of those of us who did not start the war, who do not support the war, but are forced to respond in order to defend ourselves and those we love. How can we rid the world of evil without becoming what we fight against? The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht to end the war in April 1945. Waldenburg was completely destroyed as you can see from the picture. Many of the dead in those bombed out buildings were women and children. The good guys defeated evil but at what price? iowaculture.gov/history/education/educator-resources/primary-source-sets/world-war-ii/american-troops-move-through The imagery of the denouement is powerful: The cries over the loss of a beloved child and the cries of his wife giving birth to new life are presented as a call-and-response grounded by a powerful Om chant that creates a sacred space, reminding us that death and life are both sacraments and are interwoven. Dimash's vocalization and the pilgrims representing world religions and religious leaders, past and present, walking together shift the narrative toward the final conflict and finally redemption. When Dimash’s character decides to avenge the murder of his daughter, his state of consciousness is reflected in the darkening sky with lightning bolts of anger accompanying the storm of his emotions that buffet the pilgrims. The fog of war obscures the light. When he is killed after exacting retribution, he is dropped back into the "sacred womb" of Earth, the ocean of love and mercy, and is cleansed of the old hatreds and grievances that only bring more death and suffering. He breaks the wheel of endless war and suffering by choosing life. Dimash's scream of “we’re choosing life” is that of giving birth: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. Soul is breaking free to return to its natural state of love and purity as exemplified by the images of the children and the newborn baby. The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humankind when it turns from wrong to right: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused and judgment is removed.” Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage, and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. By focusing on our common destination rather than on our differences, we can walk together in peace and love and mutual respect. Carl Jung wrote: “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time. We don’t have to wait. We can start right now. As the hymn tells us: "Let there peace in the world, and let it begin with me." Baraka Bashad.

Dimash - Requiem: The Story of One Sky This is by far the best explanation I have found. It was written by Heiderose Kober: This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. (Thank you, Snarky Tart for that information). In the MV, (the taller child) who later becomes the military commander, never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, (the drowning boy), gives his friend the pendant. The camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl (later Dimash's Wife and the mother of his daughter who is killed). Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral l compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through rendering it useless as a compass. When we lose the original intent of a symbol by twisting it into something it is not or by just paying lip service, it no longer has any spiritual meaning. At best it becomes a useless prop, at worst it is used to mislead and manipulate people. The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it. He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay. The premiere was on September 24, 2022. As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife was also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I was shocked. I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend. But in the end that all made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace. OMG he is such a phenomenal actor. And yes, you're right, he refers to „Imagine“ from John Lennon and when he found his daughter he growled old Kazakh words „Man is a caravan, life is a road“. But it‘s funny how very few reactors realize that the soldiers shot in the arm at the beginning of the war scenes was Dimash. If you want to know more about this video check out dimashnews. com Btw, Dimash has received an award from Pope Francis personally at The Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan on September 13, 2022. He performed the song there in connection with the congress before the premiere. Can you imagine, a Muslim receiving an award from the head of the Catholic Church. How wonderful is that🥰. He also gave a speech at the first Central Asian Media Forum, in which he once again strongly advocated peace. You can see it with English subtitles. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHSYZpRpotuZhg The official live version of his concert (on September 23, 2022 in front of 30,000 people from 68 different countries) is available on his channel, Almaty concert part 3 from minute 23:15 with a short speech in which he performed the song for the first time. You should definitely see this. There are subtitles in English kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4GUo2ytodCgfrc And he's been singing it in all his concerts ever since. But always a little different. Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

"Adam kerwen omir zhol" = in literal translation is : "The human caravan is the way of life". The meaning, as explained by a Kazakh, is : Life is long and hard, one should be careful with one's choices". For me, the placement of the phrase in that vocal register in that moment of the video, signifies a couple of things : man's life is a series of choices and consequences, and also, in the darkest moment of the story, when the father (Dimash) finds his daughter killed, and experiences the most grueling pain, right before his heart takes the decision to take revenge, that voice sounds like the voice of God himself, reminding him about the danger of the cycle of violence. The whole video is about choices, an exposé about how, losing our love towards one another, we get to violence and war. And the ending is the alternative proposed, traveling the hard path of life together, pilgrims of all faiths, following the light.

Dimash was saved from drowning , the other boy became the military leader. The girl became the wife of Dimash. The little girl was the daughter of Dimash and his wife. The woman giving birth is the wife of Dimash now giving birth to his son. The group of men walking were all religious men. At the end both Dimash and his wife die, and ❤❤❤Dimash is the little boy grown up leading the religious leaders. You got a lot of it. Loved the reaction. Dimash wrote the screen play and composed the music. You might want to watch Dimash sing this in concert at the. Almaty concert. You can really pay attention to his voice.

For me it's to show the absolute senseless destruction of war and that there are no real winners as Dimash kills the leader but dies as well, he doesn't even fight, he's given up, waiting for it to happen, broken. Three friends one even saving the life of the other, happy and in the end just the girl survives but she lost her husband (Dimash) and her daugher (the little girl) and even her childhood friend... When will people learn? This is an absolute masterpiece even for Dimash. His music videos are all (except the very first one) more like little feature movies full of methaphores and visually stunning and meaningful. So yes, there is more 😊

I've watched dozens upon dozens of reaction videos to The Story of One Sky. You're the first reactor I've seen who actually realised and reacted to the gun being cocked while the little girl looks up at the soldiers. That moment is the most quietly intense way the full truth and impact of war (not only war, but also violence, abuse, evil, all the unnecessary -isms etc) has ever been encapsulated.

The necklace is also a part of a navigational compass that represents, I think, that we all have a moral compass within, and it is our choice what direction in life we take. The symbolism and meaning in this video are like no other. There are no real winners in war. John Lennon and Michael Jackson fought for peace to no avail. On the "other side", Dimash joins all of the world's religious leaders to walk up hill through heavy storms toward the light to reach unity and peace. It is our choice to follow. It's time to "choose life".

Yes, the word "Imagine" is a reference to John Lennons' song, as it really has passed that moment now, sadly ❤ Dimash's character grew up to be the soldier, and the girl was first seen briefly as his wife holding his little girl who was late4 killed, in fear, through the hole in the wall in the scene mentioning "imagine." Then again as his wife giving birth to the baby, while Dimash was grieving his daughter, that grew up to be his son, leading the pilgrims toward the light. ❤ This work is ALL Dimssh, all his thoughts, feelings, morals. He came up with this story and wrote the screenplay and dialogue. He acted in it from the start, the soldier under the boardwalk to the very end. He composed this beautiful song over 3 years, in between concerts, performances, TV appearances, composers block etc. He asked a poet to pit his words into English lyrics. He worked closely with the director on every part of the filming. He was on set to advise and uplift everyone, cast and crew, and often sung to give joy to all. Dimadh sings all the time he just can't help himself 😊 This is a true masterpiece of a short film, and he premiered the song singing it live at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in September last year 2022 in front of the Pope and many others. It went down well, and afterwards, Dimash met the Pope who presented him with a commemorative medal. I think it gave them a lot to think about ❤ Two things you missed the woman is portraying his characters wife, the little girl is his daughter. The baby being born is his son who grows up leading the pilgrims toward the light. Its Dimashs mussion to spread love throught the world. He helps so many people in so many ways including with his charitable contributions. Dimash is a true humanitarion but he hates anyone to find out where his money goes, to him he loves to give anonymously, he needs no fanfare. He is a truly great and moral human being and you cant say that about many people ❤

Thanks for your reaction to this masterpiece I’m enclosing a deep and knowledgeable analysis by Heiderose Kober that you might enjoy: « This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. (Thank you, Snarky Tart for that information). The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht close to the end of the war in April 1945 in the part of Germany where I grew up. I have seen the aftermath of war as I was born a few years later when much of Germany was still in rubble. Waldenburg is only 28 miles from my hometown and was completely destroyed as you can see from the picture. Many of the dead in those bombed-out buildings were women and children. The good guys defeated evil but at what price? War is not the answer. We must find better ways to keep evil in check. iowaculture.gov/history/education/educator-resources/primary-source-sets/world-war-ii/american-troops-move-through The last movement is powerful: The cries over the loss of a beloved child and the cries of giving birth to new life are presented as a call-and-response grounded by a powerful Om chant that creates a sacred space, reminding us that death and birth are both sacraments and are interwoven in the tapestry of life. Dimash's vocalization and the pilgrims representing world religions and religious leaders, past and present, walking together shift the narrative toward the final conflict and finally redemption. When Dimash’s character decides to avenge the murder of his daughter, his state of consciousness is reflected in the darkening sky with lightning bolts of anger accompanying the storm of his emotions that buffets the pilgrims and hinder progress. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused and judgment is removed.” Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a spiritual guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage, race, and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. »

The title itself - “Story of One Sky” - is thought-provoking. Before Islam became the predominant religion in Kazakhstan, the nomadic people of the steppes followed Tengriism with Father Sky and Mother Earth as deities. Like many old pantheistic religions, its core tenet was the “unity of all things” since everything in the natural world is animated by and connected through spirit. This concept of spiritual unity lives on in Kazakh traditions, music and poetry. It is subtitled "Requiem” to commemorate and mourn all those who have died in war and in the struggle for peace, but it is also a vision for the future and a call to action to save ourselves and our world. Raised in an observant Muslim household, classically trained in music, educated in world and Kazakh history, and immersed in literature and folklore, Dimash has a deep understanding of sacred music and the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as ancient traditions, so it is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. When we lose the original intent of a symbol by twisting it into something it is not or by just paying lip service, it no longer has any spiritual meaning. At best it becomes a useless prop, at worst it is used to mislead and manipulate people. Dimash interweaves the past and the present, the ancient and the modern, throughout this work. Alluding to more contemporary music, with the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony to be achieved by erasing our differences and giving up our identities. The world is complex, cultural roots run deep, and people experience life quite differently across the globe. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must find common ground while respecting our differences and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. We see that happening every day around us. Many of us remember the story of the Pied Piper of Hameln from our childhood. Even if we resist, as the adult Dimash character does, we often employ the same methods and weaponry as the Piper, and thus those who fight back betray peace as well because peace cannot be won through violence. That is the dilemma of those of us who did not start war, who do not support war, but are forced to respond in order to defend ourselves and those we love. How can we rid the world of evil without becoming what we fight against? The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht close to the end of the war in April 1945 in the part of Germany where I grew up. I have seen the aftermath of war as I was born a few years later when much of Germany was still in rubble. Waldenburg is only 28 miles from my hometown and was completely destroyed. There are no winners in war. Dimash is right: war is death. It is the failure of our humanity. The last movement is powerful: The cries over the loss of a beloved child and the cries of giving birth to new life are presented as a call-and-response grounded by a powerful Om chant and punctuated by the sound of Tibetan bells that create a sacred space, reminding us that death and birth are both sacraments and are interwoven in the tapestry of life. The birth underground is reminiscent of the sacred cave Akmeshit (White Mosque) found in Southern Kazakhstan, an ancient place of power said to heal diseases and cure infertility. Dimash's vocalization and the pilgrims representing world religions and religious leaders, past and present, walking up the sacred mountain together shift the narrative toward the final conflict and finally redemption. With the mountain scenes, Dimash alludes to another sacred place in Kazakhstan on the Kazakh/Russian border, Ice Mountain, which is referred to by the local Altai residents as “The dwelling of the Gods” and by Buddhists as the location of the Shambhala, the legendary country of Gods. When Dimash’s character decides to avenge the murder of his daughter, his state of consciousness is reflected in the darkening of the sky with lightning bolts of anger accompanying the storms of his emotions that buffet the pilgrims. Dimash's scream of “we’re choosing life” is also that of giving birth: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused and judgment is removed.” There is a very moving scene where pilgrims bury a man who perished on the journey. Men of different faiths come together to honor his life and his passing. This reverent expression of love and unity stands in stark contrast to the commander’s harsh pronouncement that it is war that unites people. Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a spiritual guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage, race, and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. As the hymn goes: "Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me." Dimash is a very spiritual person, so using the symbols and sounds of the major world religions is fitting for this work. For those who do not subscribe to any faith tradition, I want to mention Neil DeGrasse Tyson’s latest book “Starry Messenger” where this agnostic scientist calls for the need to develop a cosmic perspective along with the rationality of science to solve the intractable human conflicts that so often lead to war. It is on that HIGHER ground - be it in religion, humanism, or science - that we can find COMMON ground.

👉 That is the grandiose and impressive result of three years of compositional work by Dimash Qudaibergen. This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children. Story: The clip is divided into several parts. The first is about childhood. The main character and his 2 friends are linked in eternal friendship through childhood stories and a symbol (necklace). One day, the friend saves the protagonist when he is drowning. However, there is already competition in this children's story as the boys are in love with the girl and she chooses 'Dimash'. The pendant is a gnomon, the shadow hand of a sundial, which also served as a sea compass before antiquity. Uniform wearers wear this symbol on their heads. So it can't work. The second transfers his problems, his unheard claims of ownership from childhood into the adult world and mercilessly follows his twisted ideology. By becoming President, the antagonist (Piper - in reference to the 'Pied Piper of Hamelin') carries within himself the idea of a war to save: “Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give freedom to the world. A world where every city, every home is one. We will guide all who are ready to start this new life. Anyone who resists has no business with us. I choose freedom. The world is open to me and I want to give it to you. War for the people is the way to unity.” The main character also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love. While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife (the very girl from his childhood) and his daughter. Once home, he is horrified by the picture of the dead and realizes that his family is also dead. After surviving this drama, he moves on to the antagonist to seek revenge. However, the Protagonist’s wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who must give birth to a special boy who can save the world. These are people of different nationalities and faiths who have united for peace. A parallel line of pilgrims are people of different religions, walking the hard path to some place of power where they could unite and discover the Heavenly Eye that would illuminate the world. By uniting, they create a common energy in which the protagonist’s son is born, as Hope and Faith for the Better. Their journey is a symbol of faith in general, because it always goes through trials. When we go to the truth, we go through certain lessons and our way to God is difficult, but only possible if we come together. The words at the end of the video are from the "Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together" signed by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb, on February 4, 2019. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting. Producer - Dimash Qudaibergen Script - Dimash Qudaibergen Music - Dimash Qudaibergen Lyrics - Liliya Vinogradova (she also wrote Passione, Ti Amo Cosi, Olimpico, etc...) Directed by - Alina Veripia (She wrote the script and directed the MV "Okay") DimashAli Director - Kanat Aitbayev (Dimash’s dad) Dimash Qudaibergen’s 12-minute work is dedicated to the unity of people on our planet. We are all divided into races, nations and religions, but we are all children of one planet and live under one sky. Life is the highest value. No sacred book calls for the destruction of people. We must learn to be friends; it is impossible for a few adults to cause millions of children to suffer. The future of our planet, the future of people is in our hands, let there be peace in the world. We are children of one Home, one Earth and one Heaven. (description box, Dimash news, astanatimes) My opinion: The whole song is an outcry. Dimash's unmistakable emotionally charged voice draws you into the video. I was totally hypnotized. My heart aches because of the wars and misery in this world. The greed, envy and intolerance of men will wipe them off the face of the earth if they do not come to their senses. Children and women are targeted victims of annihilation and rape in wars. But they are not just victims or mothers. They are half of humanity. Where are they? Why don't the women climb the mountain side by side with the men and head towards the sunrise and a better future? I only see men running mercilessly past a collapsed comrade-in-arms. Nobody helps him. What future can such a humanity await? Will anything ever change? *** Pope Francis awarded a commemorative medal to Kazakh singer Dimash Qudaibergen during the Pope's visit to the Seventh Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions September 14-15, 2022 in Astana/Kazakhstan. On September 13, 2022, Dimash performed his new song 'The Story of One Sky' at the concert held for convention attendees. The music video premiered on September 24 at Dimash's meeting with fans in Almaty. A few days earlier, Dimash said he had just shot 'the world's most expensive music video' to compose it. По мне так наоборот. Димаш спас друга, который потом станет диктатором. Спасти того, кто разрушит потом твою жизнь - именно в этом есть смысл.

No, on the contrary. The dictator is the one who saved Dimash as a child. Dimash soldier you were right in the beginning. The girl grew up and became Dimash's wife. This is understandable when they both take a sign of friendship in their hand. And Dima runs into battle and she hugs the girl. This is their daughter. She is then killed. The wife gives birth to a child and he finds a murdered daughter. I think the dictator General loved this girl as a child. And that's why I kept this symbol.

Thank you for your reaction and you understood what Dimash was trying to convey in the mv. It took him 3 years to write the script and compose the music for this masterpiece.

Imagine is definitely referring to John Lennon's song, and you got the gist of the meaning. Dimash always stands for Peace, Love and Unity, should check out his song War and Peace, music by Dimash but lyrics by a Chinese lyricist.

You have got it all correct. A couple of other thoughts for you. The things the commander would say are the type of things that a dictator would say to on the gullible, or to prey on their sense of patriotism and community. Dimash had his crisis when he finally knew that he had to kill the commander even though he owed his life to him. To be shell shocked, through terrible fighting it broke him when he lost his daughter. I don’t remember the exact wording for the low growl voice but was in his language quoting a known saying of having their two paths that crossed in life and he has to say goodbye. While I agree with most of the Dears that Dimash’s son goes forward in his life as a spiritual teacher/ leader for their group; because this song was labeled as a requiem at the start ( that is a song/story about a dead person a review of their life); I therefore think that it is Dimash at the end joining other spiritual leaders of all faiths heading towards the Light(God). These people where seen when Dimash has his spiritual awakening and Dimash sings all of his emotions and he finally knows the right thing to do to end the war. The final turn to right, he chose life (of all) as being more important than any dictator, or any allegiance owed. You had a great reaction video, thanks for that. I enjoy your channel!

The message is there… a lot of layers of interpretation. There apparently is a libretto that explains the video. The character of the boy who saved Dimash is “Piper”. Dimash does not believe that war is the answer. He married his childhood sweetheart (also Piper’s crush). Their daughter is killed by Piper’s soldiers who have been told that only those who agree with them are part of their group. You have done well with your interpretation. Dimash has also performed this live and has also composed a song called War and Peace - the best performance having been recorded in the Ukraine before the war became as violent as now. Prayers from Canada!

@VikingReacts 🎆~••~🎆 Thanks very much for your very thoughtful reaction, Dear! 🕊 Please consider reacting to the LIVE performance of this masterpiece that includes the moving speech he gave to the audience prior to singing it. 👼 You'll be blown away! When this was first released, everyone analyzed the song & the short film it narrates with many Dears' observations reading like philosophical prose mirroring DQs' anger, pain & ultimately deep sorrow he'd previously mentioned feeling towards what he previously described as helplessness and a overwhelming feeling of inadequacy for being armed only with his vocal instrument to use in protest of a war that has ultimately pitted his friends' families in neighboring countries against one another with children being murdered or orphaned as they slept. Heiderose Kober's insights (if you're fortunate enough to have her or another Dear post them in your comments) are the most profound & complete analysis I've read thus far. My response focuses on a heartbroken, frustrated & downright angry young man's urgent 🆘 message, not the phenomenal vocals he ordinarily is lauded for as this is what Dimash instructed us to do, as well as, promote it by sharing it far & wide. My understanding is that there will be no blocking by him or his team as he wants it shared and for a global dialogue to ensue on how to establish & keep a "World Without War!" There's a lot to unpack & dependent upon a person's frame of reference, their interpretation of the video & DQ's message will undoubtedly be colored by their own preconceptions & life experiences, etc. My interpretation of his message thus far is as follows: DQ's phenomenal 9-23-22 Almaty live performance of this composition and this MV are prophetic masterpieces of transcendental pro-planet/antiwar art activism & downright spiritual experiences wherein Dimash issues a sincere, passionate yet, heartbreaking call to action to "learn to love" one another again as we were taught as children & to stop all conflicts, all aggression, all wars, for the real fight before us requires us to unite globally & engage in the fight to save our Mother Earth, "the sacred womb" from which all life sprung! Let us shun our "failing [self-serving Pied] Piper leaders" whose lunacy continues to lead us all to our mutual ruin & destruction by ignoring our species' fate as the "tightening noose" of climate change, hunger, poverty perpetually worsens whilst our "crazy leaders" instead waste precious time, limited resources & countless lives by choosing to "lead us to the slaughter" of these senseless, endless wars! Billions of lives STOLEN Billions of cells UNBORN Billions of souls FALLEN Billions of dreams UNREALIZED The verse that states we must "learn to share again the love, not shares" I believe means we must re-learn how to share our love in real time, person-to-person via one-on-one human connection in meaningful ways thru in-person acts of kindness such as compassionately, caring for the actual basic human needs of others or those that are emotional or physical in nature; all of which builds strong friendships, communities, nations and even friendships between nations unlike the superficial virtual "shares" that may be important only to one person's social media status & very well imaginary. DQ asks us to "learn to live again" as "we have passed the moment of "Imagine" (which is clearly a reference to Lennon's iconic song written of the utopia he dreamed of) & the "world as the feast" I believe means we as a species have caused so much irreparable damage to the planet resulting in droughts & famine that we are long passed former times of plenty & now must work very hard together to overcome our limited, finite resources or "Do we have to starve?" I feel as if DQ is asking us "what's it going to take" for us to "WAKE UP?" Children are (and have long been) dying of famine NOW. Further, DQ proclaims THIS is OUR LAST CHANCE, and that we must immediately act as there's "not a moment to lose" before either the Earth implodes or some crazed "Pied Piper" releases nuclear Armageddon upon the world! #TimesUp #ItsTimeToSaveTheEarth All I can say for certain is DQ's awesome LIVE and MV performances of this incredible composition of his has created the global dialogue seeking to understand it, each other and ourselves and has done more to promote a culture of tolerance he speaks of in his message at the end of the video than any other artistry I've witnessed in my 64 years of walking the planet! 🌏💚 He's successfully started the convo and it is up to us to keep it going by spreading this video & respectfully engaging with any & all so that we might unite in our common desire for peace under our shared one sky, Dears! You must watch this MV with an open mind & heart coming from a mindset of love & solidarity. I don't share the majority's view that Dimash survives nor is that his grownup baby born as he died at the end of the video. The video's progression follows the song's & builds in intensity as the pilgrims of all faiths continue their march upwards on a parallel spiritual plane & climaxes as the pilgrims experience a physical struggle with nature in the form of intense storm similar to the spiritual storm DQ's character experiences with the murder of his beloved daughter which is more than he can bear & his choice to seek revenge against his former friend who had long ago saved his life before choosing a dark & evil path. It is only after he has purged his spirit of the desire for revenge & killed his enemy (who had indeed become the enemy of humanity) that he himself is subsequently killed by enemy soldiers, with his character's soul screaming out from his watery grave #WeReChoosingLife which is the only choice humanity has left! In death his spirit joins the other spiritual pilgrims in their ascension to the One God we've all worshipped in our own ways through our own religions guided by our own prophets ever since the beginning of Creation. The journey for DQ & his fellow seekers continues on as what appears to be the morning of a new & hopeful day is dawning. His infant child remains in the material world left only with his mother's talisman yet grows into a great prophet who leads the people to peace, according to the music video's director; a theme that is not in conflict with my understanding of DQ's character's spiritual journey. Listen as Muslim, Buddhist, Jewish, Christian voices intertwine into the One Voice that sings our shared Prayer to the One God. DQs virtuosity is spiritual in nature; he touches souls and changes hearts with his divine vocals. We must awaken spiritually. We must raise our collective human consciousness, unite, be as ONE --- live and let live --- & understand our shared fate under our shared sky. "Can we balance on the edge of a fiery grave" with all these competing self-interests & is it even possible to save our future on this planet? To avert our own extinction & achieve that utopian peace we all desperately need to survive as a species so that we might enjoy peaceful, prosperous lifetimes for ourselves & future generations, DQ begs us to #ChooseLife UNITE! Dimash is a empathetic, lyrical genius whose virtuosity serves as a conduit for the pure & wondrous light of Heaven as well as the pain & suffering of our human Hells-on-Earth (many of our own making); he is the most excellent ambassador for a peaceful planet & our survival we could ever envision in his childlike altruistic nature & unconditional love. #WeAreChoosingLife ☸✡☪✝🕉☯☮ #SaveTheEarth 🌏◇🌍◇🌎#SaveAllChildren
