SPOILERS FROM SEASON 3 AND 4: Rollo not only survives but also gets better and in season 3 he acts like it did never happened; its kinda bullshit. A men that get trampled by horses doesn't get to normal let me tell you that; if he is lucky he gets to walk again but thats it (and that is with current technology; in that time period Rollo would be fuckind dead, paralyze in the best case scenario). Rollo surviving that was a biiig Deus ex machina to help moving the plot (considering Rollo being a pretty important character in season 4 he couldn't die here); which make me question what Hirst write Rollo being trampled by horses in the first place. Call it deus ex machina or forced or whatever you want; its bullshit.

Hell yeah mates. Horik is not a complete idiot... He set Ragnar and Borg against each other, seeing that they were both too powerful. This time, he and Ragnar suffered considerable loses because of his stupid decision... :\ But this also weakens Ragnar. Next episode is legendary :)

4:50 combat wise makes sense in time the englishman will figure out the vikings formations. despite vikings ruthlessness and courage in battle the shieldwall is their most reliable formation but even that has a weakness which is horses. the englishman just need to gather a group of horse riders to charge through and break the wall considerng they dont use spears to defend themselves unlike the romans and spartans utilizing shield and spear walls. every kingdom/civilization has their ups and downs in military power either be formations, weaponry and strategy which you will see a weakness englishman have next season.
