I hope you guys don't read the comments on these reactions because some people can't help themselves and start spoiling stuff. They think that if they give hints like "omg can't wait for episode X, it's the saddest one" or whatever that you're not gonna get what happens when youget there. It's so annoying. Even Floki said he would come to visit you (And yes, sadly, he intends to lick your palm because he thinks you're a seer :\ So, I would wear gloves first :\). Great reaction! Ragnar's "bleeding gum" effect is actually the juice of the drugs he's chewing, the Betel nut. The erotic scene with Yidu is one of my favorites... First, because they don't just show you "sex". You can't even see nudity. They show you a sensual and emotional touch: It's not bodily lust for each other, it's a mutual need of sharing emotions. So Ragnar is washing her and pampering her, is a metaphor for him needing a close friend like that again, one he could talk with about anything. So he "pampers" this friendship, so that it won't escape from him. And on Yidu's part, she needed someone to know about her past and let her relive it a little. That is why Ragnar cut her hair like it was a serious deal, because it was a serious deal for her... So, this was a beautiful scene. And that's how erotica is done... Many shows just throw cheap sex scenes at you to be "provocative" (Being trash is the result). Not the case here. (I still wished her death for giving our father drugs don't worry lol). Well, regarding Aslaug and Ivar... I don't think she could handle it in any other way. Ivar is really a little kids who is traumatized but what he has done. She can't tell him "Bad Ivar!!" because he is too young to understand what happened. So she needs to calm him down first. He is her responsibility after all... The mother of the dead kid will be payed, other than that, there is nothing else to do, the kid is dead. King Harald tangledhair/finehair/farehair is another historical character, so I would suggest not looking him up lol :) I mean, you can, but it *might* spoil some things.. (Well, he shouldn't be born during this time either). . But for now, he is an ambitious king in Norway, who is younger than Rangar. And that "princess story", was actually a story that surrounded him in real life. 1:53 Exactly jarl Micky ;) Aslaug saw though his pretty words... He was literally saying, "I'm planing to take over all of Norway including you. Meaning, I would probably kill you". Her people didn't notice that because he said it nicely and covered his with laughter, but... Yeah, she knew what he meant. 9:33 ;) 5:40 Yeah, Aethelwulf is totally in love with her lol His face screams "That's my girl. Yes, let's kill everyone who threatens her! Don't worry kwenthbabe, Aetherdaddy is here". Of course, "The best father of all time", Ecbert, had other plans... Which resulted in yet another "Fuck you, my dear son" :) Ragnar,,, *sigh* :| Yes, he is in a bad mental shape and the drugs Yidu gives him only make it worse. He suffered and has been through so much in his life. He is "forced" (As he views it), to be king - Something he really hates. Because you always have to think ten steps ahead not for you, but for your people. And these people will forget about you and your great deeds the moment they will see someone who is shinier. Ragnar hates being king. But the greatest two blows to his heart, was the murder of Athelstan and knowing that Rollo will betray him a second time. Athelstan was his refuge, to whom he could come with everything he had in mind. Only Athelstan would understand, because he is not biased towards faith like the others are. Yidu offers the same, since she's a foreigner, but her drugs... Our father should never take them in this state

Where, how and why did Ragnar spent 10 years, why Bjorn suddenly doesn't give a shit about his family, why did Lagertha waited decades to decide Aslaug was an usurper and had to be taken down, why did Harald spent 10 years by sitting and doing nothing to conquer Kattegat

Ragnar thing aside most of that can be explained. Bjorn gives a shit, just doesn't limit himself more or less because of a different morality than our own nowadays. Lagertha decided about the userper part after Ragnars visit, which might have made her realise and think about stuff she had not thought about in years. Harald could conquer Kattegat but he could not be it's king since Ragnar was MIA if he is dead - Lagertha in his perspective could be an easier target. Also the Sons of Ragnar are now split - 3 of them in East Anglia and Bjorn in the Medditerranien (i butchered that name probably) so Kattegat is an easier target.

Ragnar was gone, what would make Kattegat even easier to invade, and his sons (except Bjorn) were kids. Aslaug was regent since Ragnar disappeared and would have surrendered to be spared. Also, the city was smaller and had way less defenses. Lagertha had a life to think about what happened between her and Ragnar and in any moment in the 10 years he vanished she could have blamed Aslaug and taken the throne, but she, as Harald, started to doing things only when it was convenient to the plot.

Kattegat wasn't the only other kingdom in Norway, Harald spent those ten years conquering most of the smaller kingdoms and is going for Kattegat last as it's the biggest fish. I believe when he first appears after the timeskip they do mention that he's been steadily expanding his kingdom

Nope, Vikings has a great budget which shown particularly later on in this season and all of season 5. To my mind Vikings and GoT shouldn't be compared because Vikings is interesting enough to stand alone as it's own show...which it does. I'm a huge GoT fan (hence my name) but Vikings has GoT beat in both writing and choreography.
