Regarding Ivar's disability - it's called brittle bone disease. His bones can't support the weight of his body, they would break. This disease also influences the white of the eyes - that's why they're blue. It's a real thing as well.

Can that disease develop only in some bones though? Because in Ivar's case it seems like only his leg bones got affected, the rest of him is just fine or he'd just snap in half when trying to pull a bow that big.

The show takes it liberties when it comes to Ivar, as osteogenesis imperfecta effects all bones in the body. He would never be able to fight like he does, or pull a bow. There are 2 other theories of why he was called Boneless. One is that he was impotent, but he did father a kid. The most prevailing one is that his name in old norse Ívarr inn beinlausi, has nothhing to do with bones. Beinlausi, or translated to my language mean Benløs, meaning his legs are loose, as in he can't sit still and likes to travel. He was king of Ireland when he died, but he travelled all over Europe and deep into Russia as well. But like I said, the show takes it's liberties :D

Ivar has brittle bones disease in his legs, so his bones are too weak to hold him up with out breaking. You can that he has this disease because he was born with a broken leg, that was why Aslaug had such a hard time giving birth. He does feel his legs but at this point in his life he is too used to the pain to let it show.

Taimoor Shah I think he's trying to fulfill what Ragnar planted in him. He never believed in himself until Ragnar. He's being ruthless like his father told him to be. Plus in the show they changed the fact that he was actually the leader of the great army and he was the one that spent years avenging Ragnars death. I like Ubbe but Ivar is special :)

The show changed a lot of things, so I try to keep it separate from real history. Ivar is definitely an interesting character, but I prefer Ubbe. Seems like Ivar has embraced the dark side of Ragnar while Ubbe and Bjorn cling on to the lighter side.

Ivar is the best & smartest brother ..my fave 💗 ...notice how he seems to get on well with his brothers apart from Sigurd. Sigurd was the only one who sulked and didn't smile at him during training....I don't like Sigurd one bit, most don't though, he's very jealous of Ivar if you ask me, and scared of him too lol

However doesnt excuse his behaviour/actions..Especially since hes grown now and has clearly picked on Ivar most of his life, definitely isn't Ivars fault he was the favourite, Sigurd should of focused his anger/jealousy more on his Mother than his baby brother, as it was her who neglected him.

CeJ Miles Yep Aslaug in my opinion isn't a good mother, Ivar is the only one who thinks of her that way. Sigurd is doing what alot of kids in that position do sometimes, target the sibling who they are jealous of rather than the parent. Ubbe seems to be the ONLY normal son from Aslaug the rest are somehow disturbed 😂. Bjòrn and Gyda were normal nice children who were raised right not spoiled or neglected.

Vikings has major commitment issues with its storylines. Always has. They drop things, try to suggest that viewers should pretend something didn't happen, try to make us forget about the one direction they were going in as they change it mid season. The sad part about it is it can be very messy and the viewer can see it happening. It's my one major criticism about it. That and the fact that Lagertha doesn't age.

And what layers do Hvitserk and Ubbe really have in comparison right now? Hvitserk still barely has any charaterzation,Ubbe right now is just a nice guy that wants to do good things.He is easily the most likeable of the brothers but he does not have a deep character whatsoever right now. Ivar is an insecure young man that acts saditic and violent in order to hide those insecurities. Deep down he desires love but believes that no one could ever turly love him so he pushes people away which in turn turly does make it difficult for the people around him to love him. You can deffinaly say that this makes him a pathetic person,but it's still more charater depth than what we have been given for Hvitserk and Ubbe so far, heck even Sigurd has more actual charater depth than Hvitserk and arguably even Ubbe so far. This is probably to blame on Hirst obbsesion over Ivar thought.
