Vikk from where you and Rob are staying, take a day trip and go really far West-Northwest, you should cross a lake and then eventually come to a plains biome (there's lots of grass, not many buildings.) right across from the lake, there's a small town (if you see a crossroad with four buildings at it, you've gone too far north, go south to find the town im talking about), and a little bit west of the town there's a bookstore, the only bookstore in this map. loot the bookstore because it has a lot of schematics that will be super helpful for you guys.

Tempus64 the working stiffs is useful but i figure for this early in the game they need schematics, for example the steel book, the crossbow, the minibike, the wrench, the hunting knife, etc

Tempus64 plus the working stiff is closer so they can loot that easier than the book store

sic22l youre definitely right. i was just saying that since the bookstore is the most important specialty store in the game, they should try and loot it as early as possible so they can progress faster. that way they'll get lots of schematics that can maybe help them build/repair what they find in the working stiff tools

When you go away to a town to loot, if your inventory gets full make a drop off chest. Put a chest like in the middle of the street, empty your inventory and keep on looting. When you're leaving you can prioritize what you take with you home. Press Map and click save waypoint, then go back some other time to pick up the rest of your stuff, this way you dont need to drop like gunpowder and other rather essential stuff.

There is only one book store on that map (navezgane) and is about a 10 (5 if u're quick) minute run to the west of of your base. On another note, there's a tools store just west of the town by your base (not the one from this video). It'd be worth checking out, about 10-20 boxes with medium to great loot in

if you have the recipe and the gun parts you can click assemble and put the parts together. that will save inventory space while you loot which helps a lot. hope this helps

If you destroy cactus you get 15 plantfiber pr cactus. Collect a bunch and then collect some wood and stone and craft 1000 stone axes. Then you are almost lvl 70 in Tool Smithing and then you make 500+ quality tools
