Looks like Seth as acquired a jewel in the crown house, owned by poet George Herbert. It is quaint with a river flowing by it adds to the beauty scenery. It is picturesque .Seth is a versatile writer & poet.

Gosh...all sorts of people go around writing in english and make a life out of it...what a trivial life this is...

Jaya, I think you see life in a cockide manner,written require a deep knowledge & subtlety, limited & superficial knowledge is always dangerous, look how President Donal Trump is handling U.S. The quaint house in which Seth lives with a river running by, also reflects on his admiration of the everlasting nature, not a impermanent or perishable objects. The object of all humanity is be have quite & peace.

I think it's the opposite. All kinds of people will read anything these days, which help people to make a living. You're just jealous
@jayap35574 жыл бұрын
@@smitas65 sorry... I have made my living... and sorry too that I have no reason to be jealous of ppl like vikramseth... who write stuff for the sake of making an impression... not bcz they wish to add value to people's lives... and I'm saying this after wasting my money on paperbacks and time reading them... That much for Indians (self included) who write in/speak a language that does not sit pretty on us at all...

@@jayap3557 that's the way the world works. Writers write to be read. And there is a great choice in that. One can always NOT read someone, or not read at all. But the realisations that one arrives at, even if they be that writers are bogus, is always aided by first eating the pudding. Our opinions and choices are shaped by all that we have read, heard, watched and experienced. And to discredit that input is a bit ungrateful. All of us mature at some stage and outgrow fiction, and romantic (I mean style, not actual romance) writers and turn to non fiction, i.e., philosophy, history etc. It all depends on what age or stage one is at. But there are many who feel pleasure and happiness at reading the works of writers like Vikram Seth. If not motivated by jealousy, I would say your comment was petty and rude, and discredited both the author as well as his readers. Maybe you should pick up a book on "netiquette".

@Biplab Singh ha ha ha....I thought so too. And perhaps a bit of a need for attention
