He played most of these hands well, even the first hand. The suck out on ivey for the bigger straight was a horrible hand. Beyond that, victor played great.... Put yourself in the opposite seat heads up... It's you VS a freight train who was on a Heater of a lifetime challenging the best in the world at the highest stakes. Those were the glory days of online poker. I barely slept for 2 days watching him battle Durrrr for their first epic battle when Dwan got eaten for lunch ( 4 million++ I think).... Every minute I was home there for a couple weeks time, I was railing FTP nosebleeds blowing bongs and also my mind watching. It's pretty lame what hastings and townsend did to him. Isildur will never be forgotten for the ferociousness he displayed. None of those pros saw him coming, especially Dwan in NLHU... Dwan was tilting like a 3 legged barstool for days and paid big time for it. Now he is just average at best IMO.

@edwardv12558 жыл бұрын
He should expect to have at most 20 outs (vs. a top pair, no spade, which wasn't impossible on these tables), and at the very least 8 (vs. 5x8s or 5x2s). Not sure if he ever expects to be ahead here, but if he never expects to be ahead, he would need 17-18 outs to make it a profitable call, I think? If he expects to be ahead vs. other draws and mad bluffs a small portion of the time, that would change that quite a bit. He could of course be high, but he's probably just slightly insane.
@aarbar66156 жыл бұрын
many many many many many many many levels deeper than you think about the game, durrrrrr got coolered in that hand. I'll let you in on a secret, no had has less then 5.75% equity vs aces pre flop and no hand you would ever play back with that is not a bluff holds 10% or more. The game is realizing and denying equity. your holdings are irrelevant beyond the equity in the present hand

omaha is not about flopping the nuts, it's about rivering the nuts-therefore it's about the draws. There's a ton of situations in omaha (far fewer in texas, but they still exist) where the draw is so good that the player is a favourite against the person flopping the "nuts". Like AA23 vs JT76 with the flop A89. Even without a flush draw the jack high is favourite because 6 individual ranks make his straight-20 outs. He has half the deck twice which makes him a favourite. Which hand do you want?

+Powermove Squadron 13 outs is not behind after a flopp 13 outs is 26 outs on the other 2 streets witch means he is 52 procent favour against 48 procent..and now the draw had more then 13 outs to beginn with.any 3 thats (4) outs any 4 thats (2) outs any 7 thats (3) outs any 8 thats( 3) outs any 9 thats (4) outs.so he had 16 outs and thats 32 outs on 2 streets and that means he was in good shape even tho he hadnt hit it yet.he had 64 procent vs zigs 36 procent to win the pott..with that said zig could hit fh and would be 100 p winner on turn but that is anoither thing..isil was in favour according to pott odds
@chrisamadei25659 жыл бұрын
+martini1900 he is nowhere near 64% to win that pot after the flop. yes he has 16 cards that make him a straight but he also needs to dodge 6 cards on the turn and between 7 and 9 on the river. he is about 48.3% to win 50.6% to lose and 1.1% that 7-8 comes on the turn and river for a split. 48% to double up isn't great pot odds.
