Hey Julia! Great work on your channel, its great to see your experience in Cambodia, what a great place to relocate. One tip, you could upload in 1080p but you're only uploading in 720. I have the same camera as you, the g7x ii. I suggest recording in FHD 23.98fps. The g7x also has an ND filter which you can set to auto, so during the day it helps reduce the glare. Cheers!
@juliahaw2 жыл бұрын
Woah.... That would be a nice level up. Thank you for the awesome suggestions.... I'll definitely be looking into this.... I appreciate it! I have one other issue with the g7...and that's sand on the inner lens. Might you have any idea how to remedy this or would it be best to take into a camera shop?
@Julian-bach2 жыл бұрын
@@juliahaw happy to help. Make sure you are in Cinema mode (not auto) before changing settings and pressing record. Not sure but I would take it to a pro camera shop. The G7X has that problem as common problem, dirt inside lens. The G7X has great image stabilization (IS) too. Turn IS to High, for smooth video when moving around.

Hi I’m Dee. I’m an artist visiting Cambodia for the first time. Considering a long term stay. I arrive in Phnom Penh February 14 2024. The reason I’m reaching out to you is the flavor of your personality. I’m from Detroit, educated in the streets with a formal education. I find it challenging communicating with people. But I feel it will be easy with you.

And the sidewalks are great for evening strolls! The dust is also kept at more of a minimum. See you soon!

I have had a great stay in a condo on Changklan Road in Chiang Mai since June of this year. I have decided though to move into a wonderful little house about 20 minutes from the CM Central area. The time is right for me to do this, the house and area is just about perfect for me and the place I will be able to decorate and make into a real home, I am thrilled about it. The problem is I have to move out of the condo Dec. 1 and the house will not be available until late January. So.... I am frantically looking for a 2 month rental (during the peak of "high season". Really is a frustrating process. The websites are vague, short term rents ridiculously inflated (during high season) and of course most places want a 6-12 month lease. The searching is very time consuming and can be a real pain in the ass. Watching your vids had planted the see that maybe I should find a place in Siem Reap for those two months. I am thinking what I may do is just go to SR and look in person, rather than f@#k with these websites. Stay in a hotel for the first week and then just look until I find something that I am very comfortable with that is centrally located. I think during that search week I will go to this isp company and see what they can show me. Your info. has been very helpful for me. Thank you !

Yeahhh... that was a different vibe for sure. Did you hear about the baby falling into a croc pit a few years ago? Then our property guide said a man's wife had gotten into a pit and... well let's just say... all of it is NOT good. I'd never seen a croc pool like that so it was HIGHLY unsettling.

I think the 2nd place, the villa looks great from the outside, but not so on the inside. The living room is cavernous. It’s way too big and under furnished. Not even a sofa. It echoes everywhere in the place.. The bedrooms are really small and again, not well furnished. To stop the awful echoes everywhere you’d have to put in loads more furniture, rugs etc. The front yard is just dried up dirt and gravel.On a windy day the dust would blow everywhere.On wet days it would be muddy.The huge gate is rusted through. I’m not impressed so far. BTW I’ve lived in Asia over 30 years. I’m sure there must be Franch colonial buildings available that are better designed and built. I’m only 10 minutes into the video, so hopefully you’ll show us some better properties. The next one for $1000 is great, but you’d hope it would be for that price. Definitely the best in your video.

Nr 1: Just a regular terraced house: villa 😂 Nr 2: Looks like nothing has done since 1970 Nr 3: Run down restaurant / school (what is the realtor thinking?) Nr 4: Villa without any proper outside space All in the middle of nowhere tho. In Europe as well as US you would get a way more modern house closer to things to do.

Wow! Firstly, I cannot believe those prices! Secondly, I can’t believe those crocodiles! Why on earth would anyone need that many crocodiles? Do they eat them or are they like security crocs? Lol what are they therefore??? The house with the infinity pool is gorgeous and I’m in love with it! In that price… I can’t even believe my ears and eyes! I love all the wood. And the spirit house is adorable. My family used to have certain little things like that in our yard as well. And I wish everyone in the US took their shoes off at any home because it’s a huge deal in the coastal towns of California so you don’t track beaches sand in, But it’s a rather standard Asian practice I’d say. In Hawaii we never wear shoes inside a home. It’s considered very rude and disrespectful. However my fiancé is Hungarian and a lot of my European friends and family tell me they also take their shoes off frequently when entering a home so I’m not sure if it’s any other country other than the United States? Lol Albeit, coastal California and Hawaii are part of the United States! Perhaps it is a standard in the US in some areas. It seems like necessity to take your shoes off in the Midwest winter though! Cambodia is rather interesting. I never thought about it is a destination to visit. Currently I’m obsessed with Tbilisi Georgia and Hvar Croatia! Me and my Hungarian partner Tiv are loving your videos! 🌈🦄
