I am from Khairpur and it made me soo happy seeing you enjoy there 😭💕 But yes the flood has had a great impact on the whole village sides of Khairpur, out house helper and their homes and fields are underwater. Few areas have been cleared and drying but still much underwater and they all need help to rebuild their houses as all their life stock which they keep as assets have been dead.

Coincidentally, I am crossing khairpur rn and your video just popped up. There is flood water on both side of the highway, atleast 4ft, for kilometres. People have found a dry patch and set up camps for cattle and themselves. Its been months like this and God forbid more to come. May Allah reward us all with empathy and protect them.

It's always a Sindhi guy from a distant village that just blends in ur family so well as a driver as a friend as a massager grocery getter , take my dog for a walk guy and does it with so much joy that ur heart just melts to treat him right I have had a few drivers like hood one specially I remember him as malang uncle (mad uncle) still in contact with him though he is a driver for a family in Saudi now and one as totri (lazy) who still is a driver for my father he drives cooks for my father and even massages him 😂 they always have these weird names

First, thank you so much for making this beautiful portrait of your friend Hood. I cannot imagine his loss, or even how you must feel in having known him for so long. You see, just eight months ago, I made a pen pal/friend from Pakistan and I've adopted him as my little brother. I love him to bits and it feels like we've been family for our whole lives. My entire family loves him too. And again, that was months ago, not years. So, really and honestly, I empathize with you and I can't imagine seeing Hood's village in all its beauty only to know it's gone. I wish I could wrap my arms around Hood and that I had all the money in the world to supply his village.😭 The Pakistani people are some of the most loving people in the world and they've been painted terribly by the media. When I watched this video, I thought of my new little brother over there in his own struggles and it made me weep again for this country that needs immediate aid. I will pray for Hood as I've prayed for my little brother. I will pray that God brings him provision and help quickly and I'll share this video with people too. God bless you, Alina.

Don't you feel alina u're so lucky alina on how u get the best of both worlds, uve lived in diff advanced countries and yet you get to experience such authentic experience of ur roots? It’s actually the only thing that has been a problem for us and we don’t care what others are going through. At first I fell in love with hood and his simplicity, smile and lovely nature but what he is going really shocked me 😢. I wish he is okey now ❤ In Sha Allah he will be okey soon. Prayers ❤
