Having two coconut trees I do make coconut oil with just 3 or 4 coconuts in the same manner grinding is done in a blender. The juice once it's set I keep it in the fridge to harden it gets easier to put it in vessel to boil. Believe me it's so gratifying and the fragrance. Heavenly

It's less for health and more for how accessible it is in that part of the world. Over there, coconuts are much cheaper, and since most people are dirt poor, they try to waste as little as possible. I bet they know coconut is healthy, but probably don't know the extent of it's health effects.

We are farmers family, and not too rich but I haven’t seen my grandparents working this hard they always had people doing several works in the farm. He seems to be regular farmer, but is enjoying a good life because he is hardworking. People in village especially near coastal belts of India get lots of protein and coconuts and eat pretty well too

people wonder how so many people live in villages without occupations. when you survive outside of a normal society the act of survival is a full time job. these guys don't go to the market or the fast food joints for their meals. they put in effort in a different way than we do every single day to provide for their families and themselves. truly beautiful

How do you get rid of the coconuty smell in the oil?
@riama64696 жыл бұрын
Yes, it takes time but all good things to those who waits.. We can spend like anything for so called "organic" things what we actually unaware of it's authenticity. We purchase it at a very expensive price just because it has a label of "organic" or "virgin oil". But with some effort we can make that organic virgin oil at home and that too in it's purest form.. I too believe in making things at home as much as possible.. It's definitely a laborious job to do this at home but it's worth it..

When I went to Mexico I found a coconut on the ground and I brought it home. Since we were in a hotel we had no tools to open it, so we had to improvise. We peeled open the husk with a butter knife. And then we threw the nut on rocks. It worked and it was pretty good too
