Watch all videos - playlist kzbin.info/aero/PLmz2QxbXLPGQaN9z12hwoxxqQz4YvIf87 *Please find the English description in the description box පොල් ගස ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ඉතා බහුලව දකින්නට ලැබෙන, ශ්‍රී ලාංකේය සූප කලාව මෙන්ම ජන ජීවිතය සමගද ඉතා සමීපව බැඳී තිබෙන ශාකයකි. අතීත වැසියන් එය හැඳින්වූයේ 'කප්රුක' ලෙසයි. කප්රුක යනු සිතූ පැතූ දේ ලැබෙන දෙව්ලොව තිබෙන ශාකයක් ලෙස ජන වහරේ කියැවෙයි. පොල් ගසටද එසේ අමතන්නේ අතීත සිංහල වැසියන් පොල් ගසේ සෑම කොටසකින්ම කුමක් හෝ ප්‍රයෝජනයක් ලැබූ නිසයි. වියලි පොල් ගෙඩි වල කිරි මිරිකා ලිප තබා හිඳගෙන ප්‍රයෝජනයට ගැනීමද ඉතා ඈත අතීතයේ සිටම සිදු වූවකි. ආහාර පිසීමටත්, නොයෙක් ඖෂධ ආදිය මුසු කර හිස ගැල්වීමත් එහි ප්‍රයෝජන ලෙස දැකිය හැකිය. මෙලෙස පොල් තෙල් හිඳ ගැනීම එකල නිවසක අතිශය සුලභ දසුනකි. පොල් ගෙඩි 20-25 කින් පමණ තෙලක් හිඳ ගැනිම සාමාන්‍යයෙන් මුළු දවසක් පුරා සිදුවන කාර්‍යයකි. රත්වන පොල් කිරෙන් කෙමෙන් කෙමෙන් තෙල් පෑදීගෙන එනවිට ඊට යටින් කැටි ගැසෙන කිරි වලට කියන්නෙ කිරිජ්ජ කියායි. ඇතැමුන් එය කිරි කැඳ ලෙසද හඳුන්වයි. සෑදීගෙන එන තෙල් වලට යටින් ඇති කිරි කැඳ සිදුරක් සහිත පොල් කටුවක් මගින් ඉතා පහසුවෙන් ඉවත් කරගත හැකිය. එය ඉතා ප්‍රණීත රසකින් යුක්ත වන අතර එය බත් කැඳ සමග මිශ්‍ර කරද ආහාරයට ගනු ලබයි. පොල් කිරි වලින් තෙල සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම හිඳී ඇති බව දැනගන්නේ එයින් තවදුරටත් බුබුළු දැමීම නැවතුන විටයි. අවසානයේ නිවුණු පොල්තෙල් බෝතල් වලට පෙරා ගැනීම සිදුවෙයි. එලෙස සකසාගත් පොල්තෙල් ඉතාම සුවඳවත් වෙයි. ඒවා යන්ත්‍රානුසාරයෙන් සකසා ගන්නා තෙල් වලට වඩා සෞඛ්‍ය සම්පන්නය. නොයෙක් ආකාරයෙන් සකස් කරගන්නා කෑම වර්ග වලට මෙම තෙල් යොදාගැනීමෙන් සුවිශේෂී ප්‍රණීත බවක් එක්වෙයි. තෙල් සිදී අවසානයේ ඉතිරි වල ගණවූ කිරි කොටස තෙල්කා හෝ කඩුක්කන් ලෙස හඳුන්වන අතර ඒවා අතිශය පැනි රස නිසා කුඩා දරුවන් ඒවාට මහත් ඇල්මක් දක්වයි. නමුත් එහි තිබෙන අධික ප්‍රෝටීන නිසා අජීරණය වීමේ ඉඩකඩ ඇති නිසා වැඩිහිටියන් එය දරුවනට කෑමට නොදෙයි. අතර මගදී වෙන් කරගත් පොල් තෙල් වලට ඖෂධීය ශාක යොදා නැවත සිඳ ගැනීමෙන් හිසට ගල්වන තෙල් සකසා ගනී. හිසකෙස් පැහැය වැඩි කරන මෙන්ම හිසෙහිත් හිසකෙස් වලත් ඇති බොහෝ රෝග සඳහා මේ ලෙස ඖෂධ යෙදූ තෙල් දිනපතා හිස ගැල්වීම ඊට මනා ප්‍රතිකාරයකි. අතීත වැසියන් අතර එලෙස ඖෂධීය තෙල් හිස ගෑම කොතරම් මුල් බැසගත් සිරිතක් වූයේද යත් සෑම වසරකම අප්‍රෙල් මාසයේ යෙදෙන සිංහල අලුත් අවුරුද්දේදී මිල්යන විස්සකට ආසන්න ජනතාවක් එකම මොහොතකදී හ්ස තෙල් ගෑම සිරිතක් ලෙසද ඉටුකරනු ලබයි. ආදරයෙන් නදී ❤️❤️❤️

My parents and watched this last night and they were reminiscing how they would help make coconut oil in Guyana. The funniest moment was my mom remembering when she was little and would mix the residue left over with sugar, eating it with other kids in the village. She remembered my grandmother yelling at her to not eat too much. Of course because it caused her to have diarrhea., so when the part came up in the video the sister telling her brother not to eat too much... we were laughing so hard. Wonderful videos, bueatiful home and garden and the food looks amazing. Keep up the great work!!!! God Bless

This remind me when I was 9, our family used to make gallons of coconut oil. But, we usually let coconut milk fermented (up to 2-3 days) right after squeezing from fresh grated coconut (without cooking it first like yours). Love from Malaysia 🇲🇾 💕

In my home country, Indonesia, we still make our own coconut cooking oil. Usually in villages. The residue, flake, is very tasty with the addition of brown sugar. We called it "Tai minyak" which means coconut cooking oil waste. Sounds funny. :)

Your "Tai minyak" is called "Khi Man" (ขี้มัน) in my village in the South of Thailand. The word simply mean "shit of oil"

I used to shred the coconut by using that tool too at my grandma house. I only did a half coconut and my hand felt swollen already holding the coconut shell. But you did for 15 whole coconut! You are amazing 😭👏
