Im 68 yrs old.. I read dune when i was a preteen..The many books were hard to read because if the pain and suffering of the family. But it is a great story.

Don't worry about the algorithm not taking off right away. It takes time to 'mature'. The algorithm is retesting whether the subscribers still like the channel by seeing if they click on the channel in their newsfeed.

I have been reminded so many times this film is great, yet I keep procrastinating watching it. I am passionate about shooting videos and cinematography and I've heard this this film has one of the best color grades and it's even shot by my favourite DOP: greig frasier. so you know what? Imma download it right now and watch along.

Cool detail: They shot the movie digitally, then printed it on film, and scanned that film again to give it a soft classic film look.

@Trazynn totally my cup of tea. I too like the look of that. Matt Reeves does a similar thing and uses anamorphic instead of imax and that's why he's my favourite visual director. story wise I think Nolan is better though.

So debz, how was the experience? If you still havent watched, i recomend the biggest screen you have, and if you need to stereo headphones if you dont have good speakers, do it!!!!! So much is lost from seeing it in imax vs a phone

@captaincucaracha it was great! I did watch it on my phone though, but don't worry My phone has a 2K display and I'm from a remote city in india and hence my city doesn't even have a imax theatre. Dune was one of the best visual experiences I've witnessed. The story was a bit slow paced but overall solid. I'll watch part 2 soon.

Oh you only watched part 1?? Honestly, having seen dune 2, it makes the first movie so much better, the second one i think it is so much better than the 1st, and was amazing setup for the 3rd movie!!

Amazing movie. If you have not read the books, I recommend it. I discovered the first book "Dune" in the 80's and it is amazing to see some of it on screen now.

No they are watching a dubbed version of the movie,.in hindi language. But for the viewers the channel posts the orginal language movies in the tiny screen for the global subscribers to understand what scene they're watching..So the fremen language is also dubbed.
