Are you vegan and maybe an activist then? Because it’s not good to be a hypocrite (: Don’t be a hypocrite like “I love Babu for saying humans are to blame for loss of tigers. Humans are shit so thankfully I’m not included. Anyway I’m gonna go eat products from trillions of abused tortured slaughtered other animals like us which also destroys the planet and all life on her, they exist for us to use as we wish and if anything happens it’s not my (a human) fault, it’s [insert group of people I don’t agree with]’s fault. This is great fun. I can't help but remember George Sanders's iconic voice as Sher Khan way back when. I am glad they talk about saving the forests. Tigers are magnificent and I love them. Sher Khan as a character was corrupted by his power, like Scar in the Lion King. I like the changes Disney made to this movie from the original cartoon while keeping the same spirit. Save the tigers!

@@WanderingRoe And this movie didn't? Baloo is a complete clown in this movie. And at least he had a meaningful relationship with Mowgli in the cartoon. Speaking of Mowgli, he's a complete Gary Stu in this movie and lacks the subtle complexity of his animated counterpart. Heck, in the book, Mowgli was banished for bringing fire into the jungle. In this movie he faces no consequences for burning the jungle.

28:41 A species of ape indeed use to be nearly that big. They are called gigantopithecus who stood at 10 feet in height but unfortunately became extinct 100000 years ago. They made king Louie a gigantopithecus because orangutans aren't found in India. While singing, King Louie do calls himself by that name twice.

I know a lot of people agree with you Babu. Most people are working hard to keep and rebuild the Jungle environment as well as the Tiger population. Some people even provided sanctuaries and nature wildlife parks for Tigers and other animals including the endangered kinds. And if other people still can't see that, then that's their problem and theirs alone to face the hard way.

@@vetarlittorf1807 They wanted every creature native to India. Orangutans never existed in India but Gigantopithecus did though it was only till 1lakh years ago. Not wrong to think a tiny population still existed in some remote dense forest in 19th century. There are quite many animals discovered that were thought to be long extinct. The legendary yetis of Himalaya are gigantopithecus according to the cryptozoologists.

@@wildlifeisthewealthofnatur5457 Actually it would be very wrong. You are far more likely to find an orangutan in India than a Gigantopithecus. Why? Because the latter has been extinct for hundreds of thousands of years. A gigantopithecus simply wouldn't be able to survive in today's world because it's too big. There's a reason why natural selection demanded ther extinction.

No. The 2016 version is awful. The tone is all over the place, the kid's performance is wooden and awful, the story can't decide what it wants to be, there is no chemistry between the characters and having Mowgli stay in the jungle spits in the face of both the original books and the animated version as it misses the point of Mowgli solving his identity crisis and realizing that the jungle has nothing to offer him but misery and loneliness.

Babu's insight to humans taking over animal habitats was well put. Another thing i loved about what he conveyed was the fact that Shere Khan didnt go after Mowgli just because he was human, but because it was personal to him, because of Mowgli's dad. And we have heard real storeies in tge world where tigers do hold grudges and take revenge on people they deem to have wronged them.

The only living being in this film is the boy. Every animal you see is entirely computer generated as is all the landscape. This entire film was shot on a soundstage against a blue screen with only the young 12 year old actor Neel Sethi actually in the shots save for a bit of stage landscape directly below his feet and within a few feet of him at times. The end visual results are nearly perfect. Neel is actually of indian descent but was born and raised in America in New York City.

Quest For Fire. Fire is what separated humans from other animals, without it we'd have probably gone extinct along with all the other homo-species. Quest For Fire is about 3 Neanderthals who follow a tribe of Homo Sapiens who discovered how to make fire (Red Flower) to learn how they did it. Tarzan is another similar movie about a boy raised by gorillas in Africa, it's essentially the same story but Tarzan has a love interest and is older than Mowgli. Both Tarzan and Mowgli are based on the Roman myth of Remus and Romulus, the founders of Rome who were said to have been raised by wolves and destined to be great leaders of men. In other stories like Homer's Odyssey they are Castor and Pollux and members of Jason's crew of Argonauts. They share the same origin story, a priestess Rhea Silvia conceived the twins by the God Mars Ares who disguised himself as a wolf and raped her in a cave. The twins were raised by wolves. Zeus impregnated the Virgin Leda while disguised as swan who gave birth to Hercules, that story was used by Christians to create the myth of the Virgin Mary & Jesus. So much bestiality and sexual assault in religious myth, I guess that's why today's stories are told with anthropomorphic animals with human traits and speech. Anywho, yeah, stories like these are all linked somehow, plagiarism is how myths evolve.

They have to be very careful to not violate copyright laws or KZbin policies. Tribal People Try was just demonetized, but YT won't give a reason why - I suspect it was from their movie reaction videos. It's a really fine line to walk and YT is not clear about their reasoning at all. MANY movie reaction content creators are dealing with the same thing, unfortunately. Seems like once they get over 100,000 subscribers KZbin suddenly doesn't want to pay them anymore, tbh.
