This is my dream vacation. We hope to rent a cottage in the Cotswolds for a month and tour around as much of England as we can. When I see these images, I have to wonder why my ancestors ever left England in the first place.

I guess we all think these sort of things but from the relative comfort of where we are. They left for better opportunities, I suppose - which I hope they found. I hope you can plan your visit when travel is possible again. The good thing is, these villages will not change much at all if your trip is postponed. Try to take in some of Wales, if you have time - there are so many beautiful places to see and more space. (I live in London but we visit the Cotswolds, Devon, Cornwall and south Wales, when we can.)

This is a beautiful place to live in when you want to slow down and catch up with some beautiful things to enjoy you have missed when your city life blinded you with all your childhood dreams being tried to become full reality. This is the place you need to go back to always to realize how lucky you are to be alive, to see people walking slow, savoring the gentle wind, feeling the invigorating touch of the rural sun and your heart wishing to reach out to others and have some wishing-well conversation. how i wish i could walk this place someday.

Cotswolds is surely a very beautiful place. I used to live near Peak District and visit various beautiful spots in England and Scotland and have wanted to retire back in the UK. Do come to Saikung in Hong Kong to explore our beautiful villages. Houses here are not ancient but we have hills and streams, beaches and clusters of islands with fine and white sands, yachts and guiders, bars and starred resturants, golf courses, and above all, sun shine and mild winters. Village houses can be found in absolutely quiet surrounding accessible by cars.

love Bibury part - ancestors were Flemish weavers who left what is now western Belgium and settled in Bibury, London, and other towns camera was a bit blurry on a few areas - difficult to see well
