It would be an interesting experience to see Bruno slowly lose his sanity and eventually lose it to where he forms another personality of an evil self where he is more sinister and tries to be trusting, but he battles with loving his family and wanting to punish them for thinking he was a bad omen just for a gift he was given. Either way, wonderful song, and animation, truly showed the more sinister Bruno that we used to think until he turned out goofy and lovable. But in this version, he is Sinister. Thank you for the likes, might not be much, but they're all wonderful ❤️

As much as I do love how Bruno is in the movie the idea of him being a villain is also a really interesting idea, not only could he end the pattern of lackluster or no villains in modern Disney movies but also could show how hurt he was by his family abandoning him and trying to forget him. Plus he’d be like… the third Disney villain who is the main protagonist’s uncle (not really as important of a point but I thought it was a neat fun fact).

It is unfortunate that there isn't more evil Bruno AU's out there hopefully there will be more within a year of the release of the movie cause I just love looking at different AU's exploring different outcomes to characters. I always had this idea of Bruno be passive to others abuse to him for years because he doesn't put himself first just like Mirabel always put other's first around her but when the Miracle died the house collapse that all changed because it wasn't about how he felt anymore. I imagined an AU where he would get to Mirabel first at the river by horse and get off to comfort her as she cried into his arms about how she has given up and feels like she has no where to go. This would be an alternate universe where the family still blamed her for the magic failing and the house dying. Bruno would hold her in his arms as she sobbed and then a feeling of anger would slowly rise in him. An anger he never quite felt before until then. He had done all that he could to protect his niece. Broke the vision so no one could see it, went into self exile to protect her from abuse/slander for ten years, and then did another vision for her when she came to him in her time of need. And yet it still wasn't enough to protect her. Ten years of putting her first hoping and praying that they would treat her better then they ever did to him all wasted. The anger from the blind hurtful ignorance would rise in him, the earth would rumble around them as the sand rose from the ground slowly ascending and spinning around them. An unprompted vision triggered by years of suppressed fear and depression finally surging through him after all this time now turned to anger and courage. As Mirabel still cried into his embrace, head buried in his chest, as he rubbed her back with one hand while the other cradled her head in an attempt to comfort her. He would look up with vengeful green eyes at the swirling sands of time for the answers that he needed. How to finally end all this pain that they both have held since they were both five years old. How to put an end to this injustice that was once a miracle now turned into a curse. And then the gold glow of the sand sparks and reveals what he must do. The crater of sand falls around them. He pulls his niece up by her arms carefully and gingerly yet determined with new found purpose. Puts them both on the horse as they race back to their shambled home. Back to where it all began. Back to where their family who had abandoned them long before they were too young enough to realize they never stood a chance. Once the hooves reached what's destroyed and they come out from hiding their family's obscured presence becomes known to them. Soon both of them reveal themselves behind the veil of the dusting mist. More than 20 feet apart both parties are completely silent. Bruno slides off the horse as he extends a hand helping Mirabel to the ground. He stands in front of her shielding her from them. This is different. He feels different. All his life he's stayed hidden in the shadows. Meekly letting others decide his fate. But this time he feels confident and resolute. This time he decides where fate leads them. What starts as Bruno and Abuela talking about how each feel entitled to how the other feels turns to screaming fits at where all this work and effort has gotten them in the end. Was it all worth it Bruno would cry out. Was all the pain you all inflicted upon us worth the destruction of us and what was once our home. Finally a peace and calmness resides inside him as he stares at his beloved family who he loved so much that he would sacrifice anything to protect them but knew it would never be enough. Mirabel and him would never be good enough to them for in their eyes they were the curse that plagued this community. And that's when he accepts what he must have to do. Softly taking Mirabel's hand he shuts his eyes tight. The soil beneath their feet began to shake and the noise from under the terrain started to rumble. Opening his now green glowing eyes he loses himself within his mother's distress as she backed away in horror from the sand gradually rising above them. His sweet sisters pleas and cries were lost to him. Drowned out by the loud roaring of the land trembling around them. All he could feel was Mirabel's hand tightly gripping him to reality. She was the only thing keeping him grounded at this point. He turned to her searching her face. Wanting to know if she was ok with what he was about to do. A simple knowing nod with assured eyes was all he needed before the world around him went black and all he could foresee in front of him was the future and what could be. Enormous darkened green sand rippled and waved across the entire town in an hemisphere. Everyone within the community had stepped outside their homes to watch in awe at the spectacle. Countless different visions laid out for each and every person played out before them. Showing them what was to come. What couldn't be stopped. Specs of shimmering green reflected off the people's eyes as the ending of this story was being carved out into hundreds of different glasses into their hands. Mirabel understanding that it was about time that they flee delicately squeezed Bruno's hand in a gesture to let her lead him back to the horse behind them. With him still using his gift she helped him up onto the mare as she sat in front this time firmly taking the reins. Glancing to her pained grieving family one last time before turning around and riding off into the smoking sand still flying around them. Faint sounds of her parents and sisters bawling out to her to please stay still lingered in the background tugging at her broken heart. She knew she had done all that she and Bruno could do. Now it was up to them to decide how they wanted to move forward. Bruno who was still mentally gone within a future that had yet to happen gripped onto Mirabel from behind to prevent from falling off as the stallion quickened it's pace. He tilted his head up to the sky and Mirabel followed his gaze. The cracked Mountains that had shielded and protected them all their lives was forcefully being moved apart by the sand above and beneath them. It was then that Mirabel knew what Bruno was trying to do and so she sped forward towards the mountains ahead of them. As the enormous rocks were pushed away from each other Bruno's thoughts became clear within the chaos around him. His father had given up everything to save and protect their family. He sacrificed his love, his body, and his future to hide them away from a world set out to snuff them out from existence. From a danger that Bruno was too little to comprehend at the time. Bruno always felt inadequate to his father's sacrifices. Always feeling like he could never live up to his father's accomplishments and so he become comfortable living within his father's shadow. Hidden away from everyone's criticizing judgmental eyes where no one could find him. But now he understands. He was never suppose to live up to his father because he is not his father. He is Bruno and he is enough. He was never meant to save the Miracle and keep them buried behind these tall concealing mountains safe from the past dangers. He was meant to set them free. Meant to put them back into the light and with the world again. A world that tried to keep them secluded, invisible, and out of touch with who they once were. Into a future where they could once again open up and reach out to others in their time of need. Because they were ready. Bruno was ready. Ready for the change that needed to come into fruition for them to start their growth past their ancestor's pains that had held them back for so many years. And that all begins when these mountains open up allowing them to open up to the world around them. As Bruno's bright green's eye's died down and the glaze in his irises went back to normal he is able to get his first glimpse around him since his stance off between him and his lost family. He notices that him and Mirabel are at the top of the cracked mountain facing the town under them below. The sand had already fell and the warm sun above them was shining high and he could tell without even looking at Mirabel that she was at last smiling for the first time in days since Antonio's celebration. "We did it Tio Bruno." Letting out a content sigh. "We finally made a change." Smiling at her pleased words he turned back towards the town in front of them. "No Mirabel, it was all you kid. You are the real the gift. You were always exactly what this family needed."

Here's how I would have appreciate encanto even more, if Bruno was really the villain. Everything started like the original, don't really need to change something. But when mirabel finds Bruno, she would notice that he became insane by the years and his visions that would show him that no one would expect him back, and he would make the candle fade away to get a revenge on his family, but he would also have the power to change the futur by his visions he could make happen, exemple : he sees a dog, he could force a vision good or bad about the dog, like he can make him sick or make a way out of his sickness. So after a while he would bring everything back to normal realizing that he was out off limits, but casita and no one would have theirs powers back, more like a profession about theirs powers. Like julieta would work as a doctor, cause she kept the origins of her power. It would have been even more meaningful to me It's my point of view so no hates, you can still discuss about this (if you read everything and if you found it interesting of course ^^)

I want Bruno to bring Mirabelle down with him. After all, the candle died in her hands, not Brunos. Shes already been blamed for everything else, so Abuela could easily blame Mirabel for what Bruno became and for not saving the candle. Then Bruno wipes his nieces tears, pulls her close, and whispers 'why do you still care so much? Why do they deserve your love, your protection? They aren't protecting you. They aren't loving you.' Mirabel looks around at her family, who all stand still, no one approaching, no one speaking a word. She looks up at her Tio, takes his hand, and follows him. He puts an arm around her shoulders as they leave behind their fractured family.

i made a story based on this. A medieval town based on my country, Chile's rural areas. The town is maintained by a family responsible for its well-being. However, due to his unusual ability to communicate with animals seen as obscure and unlucky, Simon's uncle, Marlin, was banished from the family. Simon, who is also an outcast due to his homosexuality and tendency to talk to animals, grows up knowing his uncle only as a curse, whispered about by his family. As Simon faces constant judgment and neglect from his family, he seeks solace and refuge from their coldness. In his search, he stumbles upon his uncle living underground, mentally deteriorated and surrounded by obscure animals. Marlin, bitter from the mistreatment he faced, influences Simon's anger towards their family. Eventually, Simon and Marlin join forces, vowing to enact vengeance against their family and the town. In their quest for revenge, they encounter another neglected family member, a closeted pansexual woman with various personal struggles. She, too, joins their alliance, forming a trinity of villainous threats against their family and the town. Their actions challenge the family's perception of love, as the trinity believes their family's conditional love has betrayed them.
