Man-Bat has always been one of my favorite characters. The first time I saw him was on a Power Records Book and Record Set - "Robin Meets Man-Bat" which I heard until I almost wore it out. Even though his series lasted two issues, he was a recurring character in the Batman books, specifically in Batman Family and Detective Comics when it was a "Dollar Comic". Great video, guys - more DC!

Man-Bat (Dr. Kirk Langstrom) was a good guy in his human form but as Man-Bat he was a bad guy but later on became kind of a anti hero he was also a member of the Batman Family in their comic book series and his own short lived series as well. Great to see this spotlight on Man-Bat Thank You and have a great Thanksgiving tomorrow Pete and Bill.🦃🦇🦇🦃

"Batman" remains one of my favorite characters. "Man-bat" somehow passed under my radar, so thanks for the exposure. Cool art, too.

I had #1 of ManBat when I was a kid. Always wondered why I never saw any more of them.

I had that Brave and the Bold comic back in the day. Never picked up the Man Bat comics though.

Always liked manbat. DC's Julius Swartz, who was a man, the man who invented the suicide prevention hotline, after his son committed suicide. A very good friend. Manbat was a demented twist on Batman 's characterization.😂❤🦇

So basically if Man-Bat had released a decade before he could have been a major comic book character for his era at the least. if he had potential I don't know why they don't try to relaunch the IP because the concept is dope. A man turns into a being/bat and does some bad but is hit by an antidote. After that he can transform and isn't inherently evil and may even do some heroics but he finds it hard to succeed in his human skin and seems to be so much more capable/so much more as this bat/being.... All the temptations of this world could make for plenty of story ideas. The struggle of wanting to be more than what you are or think you can be....

He was so sad. I did like when the Man Bat Assassins were in Grant Morrison Batman. He has a good run in Batman Family with very nice art.

Man-Bat is an underrated character, different to Morbius he would at least try and succeeded to remain with human traits and not an animal predator.

I really like the character as an anti-hero.

Great episode gentlemen. I’ve always dug Man-Bat, especially when drawn by Neal Adams or Jim Aparo. Frank Robbins did draw him a time or two, but needless to say, it was disappointing.

Because I can never quite tell when Bill is being serious... you guys do know that Julius Schwartz, the longtime DC writer and editor, was a man, yes?
