Vilsevind - Dacw 'Nghariad - Welsh Folk Song

Dacw 'Nghariad is a Welsh folk song that belongs to the folk poetry corpus known as hen benillion (the old verses). Though it was collected in 1908 from the singing of Cardiffian Mary Davies, she manifested having heard it first as a child in Llangammach Wells in 1828. A fair had come to town, and a man named David Evans was singing this beautiful song, which he in turn had learned from the singing of famous travelling bard and tailor Thomas Elias, Y Bardd Coch (The Red Bard).

My father in law passed during lock down. About 200 of us met after on the rugby pitch where we celebrated his life snd ingnored the restrictions. This song ignited this passionate evening where people refused to go home alone.

It's interesting, Argentina has a huge Welsh population whom speak fluent Welsh, but.. it's funny because when they speak Welsh, they speak it with a LatAm accent which is trippy to hear.
