Viltrox 28mm f/4.5 - Full Frame but TINY!

I just ordered one today. I am thinking to pair it up with either my smaller a6000 or a6500 and use it as a "grab and go" purse camera for every day walkabouts. I also can envision it as a tiny second lens if I am out with a telephoto lens on my full frame set up and want a wider focal length with out carrying another bulky lens.

This is basically exactly what I was looking for a few months ago! I ended up getting the Zeiss 35mm f2.8 and I'm in love with that lens so I'm not sure I'll pick this up now. But it looks fantastic for a daily carry!

Looks interesting but the current kickstarter offer is limited to a $10 saving and for such a low cost lens, I’ll wait for launch. You are right, it would even make my A7RV fit an anorak pocket 😅

These little cheap lenses are amazing as a EDC set up. I think i might have mentioned to you about a 7artisan 18mm picked up for £50 and it’s awesome ! I also have the TTartisan 27mm , bought for £160 and has been my most used lens for ages now. So small and pocketable, take better images than any phone. If the Viltrox was available for a Fuji crop sensor im up for one too!! I saw your images on Instagram and would not think they are from a £100 lens. 👍

I have heard some rumours about them getting more into the Fuji line so fingers crossed. It really is quite the pocket rocket. Especially for $99…. I guess the 18mm artisan is quite similar!? What’s the f/ stop on it?

It’s fixed at 6.3, a slight manual focus. Being a Fuji Film I load retro recipe and its like having a 90’s disposable point and shoot camera

I have bought one from Indegogo too. It has flare problems but it is cheap as CHIPs. I wonder if one could work a way to add a wide angle lens hood?
