Viltrox also makes a F to Z mount adapter that supports some AF lenses, so they must have figured out the AF system on Z bodies。

Very hard to advise but 28-75 zoom is completely different than 35mm prime. Only you can decide

There is a very big difference in price between these Viltrox lenses and Nikon. Viltrox are solid performers and amazing value for money. Very low risk to just try. Especially if you find one second hand

Hello, just wanna ask you if your viltrox is sharp when you zoom in closer? I have mine and it seems not sharp when i zoom in closer, it's kinda blurry even when i use high speed.

it is ever so slightly softer than other lenses but that's very easy fixable in post. I wouldn't say that is blurred or not sharp though

Nice. I thought the Viltrox 35mm was $400, and the Nikon 40mm f2 $300. I have the Nikon 50mm 1.8, which I really like and i got discounted. But the Nikon 35mm is way to expensive. The Viltrox at 300 is appealing,. but at 400, it would make me consider the 40mm.

I'm curious if you've experienced any dust issues with this or any other Viltrox lens so far? I have the Viltrox 85mm and after using it for a couple of months; it has quite a lot of dust trapped between the glass elements and the finish on the lens hood started to chip.

oh no - not good. I have full set of Nikon Z primes and couple for Sony-E and I had no dust inside issues but I do not use them every day. It's a shame if there is a problem with quality control with these as they are really decent lenses

Weather sealing is needed in about 70% of the world at least, why can't they understand that? Surely a bit of rubber isn't that expensive?

I live in UK and never thought that it is a MUST have. just cover the camera a bit. I've even used plastic bags around the lenses before. Not a big deal for some people

This talking "Is it really twice better than twice more expensive Nikon lense" no make sense, because always in the Lenses is like that, If You wanna 1.2 vs 1.8 You need to pay 6x more, sometimes for 1.4 You need to pay 3x more than 1.8. For small amount of quality need to pay crazy money, but that the price, if You wanna get the best, reach to the limit.

nikon and their z mount are gey for real .... 5 days straight of trying to find the right lens combo ... nikon only makes a good but over priced 50mm, 85mm, 135mm -that's it -change my mind

I have reviewed their prime line-up on Nikon and my samples prove that they are not bad at all. I don't think you'd be happy with a Nikon lens either

@@PavSZ no, not bad -but the line up is inconsistent -like where is the nikon z mount 40mm, or 35mm (really anything below 50mm ) thats on par with the nikon 50mm 1.2. The 20mm is nice, but video looks bad -a lot of warping on the edges -the transition isn't smooth and is super noticeable when moving around.... from what i have seen.

@@comment_below "on par with the nikon 50mm 1.2"????? are you looking for a cheap alternative to a $2500 lens? Reality is that you can adapt and adjust and make any lens work. Cheap Chinese ones might be a little bit more difficult to work with but your perception of what is possible and what your results actually are need to change. It is easy to blame the tools. I have build a very lucrative photography business using 2 very basic and cheap lenses. It is possible. Viltrox lenses are better than the most. They can't be directly compared to expensive premium Nikon primes. They have a very good 16mm and standard 24,35,50,85mm auto focusing lenses available that do work well.
