Viltrox AF 35mm F1.8 Nikon Z Mount Lens | Is It GOOD For The Price?

A good lens for the price. I think it’s great if third party lens manufacturers can keep producing more Z mount lenses. It keeps the competition up in pricing and doesn’t let one company dominate the market. As photographers/consumers we only benefit from the better pricing and range to choose from 🤙📸

No worries Leo. I'm sure you'll snap up a Z6 or Z7 somewhere for a bargain. This lens is under half the price of the Nikon 35mm F1.8 S lens in the US. I'm glad Viltrox got in touch, cause I like the look of some of their other lenses too. Have a great weekend and take care 🙏

Hi Adrian, funny - the first thing I thought as I read "35mm f1.8" was: "sounds after a great lens for portraits", but I haven't expected to see you finally really shooting portraits with it :) I liked your results, but I find it is quite interesting to experiment with such a fast lens for landscape scenes as well. I liked your image at ~02:47 with the reds in the foreground. That's really a great one, with the repetition of the light greens in the blurry backdrop, what adds a fantastic plasticity. Nice review, Adrian! It's a nice-looking lens and I liked the results you got from it. I'm pleased that it has auto-focus and EXIF data. I think more third-party companies should work on supporting Nikon Z and Canon R. Have a great weekend, Adrian!

Great review for viltrox lens. Just wanna ask, is your viltrox sharp? I mean i have mine but it seems it's not sharp when i use it, even when i use f2.8 and high speed, when i zoom in closer it's kinda blurry. I'm curious. Thank you
