Vin To Login & Key Code Test Chevy - Chevrolet

So this is a test to see what info we can get from the vin number of a Chevy, we know nothing about the car just the vin, So I will test code wizard 2, and the VCP100 tool, then see if any of the codes work with Instacode and give the real key code. My guess is that we found the login code, but not the vin to key code. Check the comments below to see if it works or not
UPDATE -- I used the VPC100 online , the handheld unit can not do Chevy it has to be done online. It did not work on the VPC100 website, and hen you try and get tokens the site will give you pop ups ?

The first one you tried was chery not chevy. Chevy is an abbreviation of Chevrolet and chery is a completely differnt manufacturer.

CheRy is a Chinese automaker, In China they also call it "Qirui". There are 4 calculable PIN variants (4 char, 8 char etc.). We also offer these kind of VIN to PIN calculation service free for some customers (who purchased 50 tokens), but remind Chery VIN to PIN only works for Chinese & Russian models. This will not work for GM Chevrolet "CheVy" :)

I’m just starting to do automotive key cutting & programming I’ve done lockouts & relying for 21yrs but what software do you have to have to get VIN to key code. Is there a program or software you can purchase to enter the vehicles VIN # in & get the actual Key code for that vehicle?

I seriously doubt that any of those are going to work. Here in the States all those code series you went through would not be for the majority on the road here. It maybe the pin to access immobilizer to bypass 30 minute onboard program. The thing I was wondering is if either of those machines you tried can do Nissan vin to key code? I have heard it is possible but never tried them. Here in the states we have NASTF which gives us access to most manufacturers to buy key and pin codes directly from the car manufacturers.

So how does NASTF work exactly? I’m a locksmith & am Just starting key cutting and programming for automotive and I’m trying to find software or a program through someone where I can put the Vin number in of my customer vehicle and get the key code sent back to me from the manufacture

Hello Dr Locks, where you able to cut key from vin using VCP100? please let me know if you do. GM code in US are very expensive.

On a 2005 Chevy Malibu there wouldn't be a pincode for log in or reset and the key code series is G 001- 3631 so understanding the lock system in totality is crucial. I get what your doing but in most these handy code devices they just dont work in the states. That matrix would have you cutting multiple key blanks and completely looking like an un-qualified idiot. I start by understanding the lock type 100% and then attacking it from there. On chevrolet pincodes, they didnt have any function until 2012 (i think) but could only be used by after market tools. The dealer tool never had a place to do the 10 minute pincode reset but with an AD-pro you could utilize the pin.

Oh well , it was worth a try it was on the device menu, so now we know, it dose not work on Chevy. I would of expected the login pin. So looks like AD is the way to go.Thanks for your help
