40:00 man, that whole bit hit home. He seems like a sweetheart. Edit: Leo is actually seriously inspiring me. I've wanted to do album art for big bands my whole life and it makes me realize that I *could* ..

My band (Imminent Sonic Destruction) did their first real tour supporting Pain of Salvation in North America, back in 2013. They were all great guys, super friendly and super talented. Leo is a gentle soul, 100% genuine and very much the "people's" rock star. You'll always have a warm experience meeting and talking with him.

LEO MARGARIT! I've loved PoS since I was 15 (I'm 34 now). When you joined for the Road Salt saga, I was sold immediately on your style. I can't wait to sit down and devote the proper amount of time to watch this!

I love the story about how Leo came to be a member of PoS. It couldn't have happened to a nicer person. Seeing this interview made me even more of a fan! Thank you Leo! And thank you Alin for being the spark that made this all possible!

Wooooah, I struck gold here. Leo seems like such a great person. I met him once at a show and he was awesome, genuine, and very humble. Also, as a drummer and singer he's really helped Daniel and the band reach some musical depths I never imagined, which is crazy to say since POS was my favorite band before he was in it. Thanks for this!

Dear VinAnd Sori, thank you very much for this great interview! Leo is the best! I met him two times in my life, and he is truly one of the kindest guys I've ever met as a fan. First was when they played at ArtMania (Romania) back in 2016. I remember we had a very little time at the meet and greet, and Ragnar was so grumpy, because his guitar went south during the first couple of songs, but we could chitchat a little bit with the other guys, especially with Leo. The second time was in Budapest (Hungary), 2018, after I interviewed Daniel about their latest album. They were so exhausted before the show, I didn't want to bother them after the interview, but thankfully, I had the opportunity to sign my copy of 'In The Passing Light of Day', and during that I could share one or two words with each and everyone of them, and of course with Johann (the old-new guitarist) as well. They were all so welcoming! (Btw, their show that night was one of my best experiences ever. They were so on point, and so filled with energy, that even I who knew that they were tired didn't notice it for a second.) I am looking forward to the new album!

Great, GREAT interview. Love it. Leo's the MAN. Now you just have to find a way to get Daniel for an interview too (although not too long...I'm sure his every moment is still being consumed with the new album). And yes, I agree with the commenters below: you guys should react to some more Pain of Salvation songs. I'd focus on Remedy Lane next (which is kind of the spiritual precursor to In the Passing Light of Day - both albums are VERY autobiographical, only Remedy Lane deals mainly with the growth of Daniel's partnership with his wife, his subsequent betrayal that is also highlighted in the song _Meaningless,_ and their picking up the pieces and working it out). The songs _Rope Ends_ and _Beyond the Pale_ are my favorites (in addition to _Fandango_ and _A Trace of Blood_ both of which you've already done). And I'd be interested to see your take on what is perhaps their most divisive album "Be"...which some fans love, and others view as a pretentious misstep. I agree that it's pretentious, but it's also INCREDIBLE, both lyrically and musically, and it is the album that most directly deals with issues of spirituality, sin, and the natural hubris of humanity (which I think would make it particularly interesting to you guys). Thanks again to you guys, to Leo for the interview, and to Alin for being so determined to increase the online exposure of his (and my) favorite band. You all rock!

great interview! VinandSori, you guys definitely need to checkout the entire Pain of Salvation catalog! Leo in some ways does have a dream gig. And the story about driving Daniel to the hospital and sliding out is kind of Murphy's Law-ish. I wonder if they have a AAA/Roadside Assistance of some kind in Sweden. -11 Celsius is like 12 degrees Fahrenheit (and who knows how much colder the WIND CHILL is) Yikes!
