If you master part 2 this one should happen on its own just by practice. I don't remember doing anything with the arms, tbh. At some point I just bounced shoulder to shoulder and my arms were just hanging. It's all in the bouncing with the hips, imo. As you master it you make them higher and they feel easy.

The tutorials are excellent, btw. I wish youtube existed back in the day xD

Do you headbutt the floor or just use your shoulders?
@germangarcia61182 жыл бұрын
@@palindrome06 I'm an old dude who couldn't pass them anymore, haha. But yeah, back in the day I went through all the phases. Don't headbutt the floor in any case, just let the floor touch the side of your head as if it was an extension of your shoulder. If you have the speed it will do the job easily and if you don't have the speed it won't work no matter how hard you hit it. Going shoulder to shoulder is something that just happens as you get more height and speed after doing them with the head for a while. If you pay attention to his back and hips in the video you see how he lands in his back and bounces back up with the hips. I don't think you can do this when you are learning them (maybe, IDK) but that's the way to gain the height and speed later. That entry from standing he teaches helps *a lot* because it gives you the rotation and instinctively takes you to the hip bounce, so pretty much you just need to find the bounce and then try to repeat it on the next passes. You should try to do this entry falling as high on your back as you can (I mean the floor touching the upper part of your back). I really like the tutorial because he included it.

Hey Vince, I know this is off topic but would you recommend doing gymnastics to help with flips, handsprings and flares etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
@cliffishere10 жыл бұрын
Gymnastics are always good, I dont see why not since it also helps with fitness.
@FEISARCHASSISMK310 жыл бұрын
Cliff Tangel Thanks man, I wasn't sure because some people say it will effect your style (for instance their flares look wack) but I'm just doing gymnastics do help build my core and practice flips in a safe environment.
@cliffishere10 жыл бұрын
Well you've gotta practice your styles too if you dont wanna lose them, besides, flares and backflips are always cool! :d
@VincaniTV10 жыл бұрын
Yeah man. Soak in the knowledge and then apply it to your dancing. Gymnastics will teach you the techniques to generate power in your flips and moves. Not to mention develope more strength.

Any comment on how to continue my windmills? Im at level 1 and I can do one but I have to use my feet to land so I'm not exactly back in my cricket position (its in cricket but my feet are supporting me not in air). Since I can't get back into cricket with my feet in the air I can't do 2.. what should I do?
@tomaydo50410 жыл бұрын
i had this problem before so i think i can help you out. going back to the stab requires momentum generated by your legs and hip, so when you throw yourself into a windmill, swing your lower body continuously in order to keep your legs in the air. also, don't stall on your back. when you get to your back, keep on rolling to your opposite shoulder using the momentum generated from the initial swing. the more you stall on your back, the more momentum you will lose. You should probably post a vid on ur channel so i can see what else you're doing wrong.

well i would say that you are kind of wrong by saying not to use your legs whie doing barrel mills. i would say that this is one of the most important things that you have to do. You kick with your legs and then use your arms to roll around. other thing is dont point your toes out because that way your mills going to look gymnastic like. bend your knees little bit and point your toes in that way your windmills gonna look more dynamic. Peace!
