Vincanity I am sure you love this dance and I am also sure you knowledge about this dance however , I'm not sure whether you are doing it to get more views but I hope you can change the word breakdancing at the beginning of the video to breaking . This is because I went to Poe One's workshop and he told me what is the original name for the dance called and he told me , bboy , going off or breaking . I hope you will change the breakdance in the title of your latest videos in the future , or maybe make a video to clarify that this dance is called breaking instead of breakdancing . We should spread this knowledge towards other bboys/ bgirls because the term breakdancing was made when the media exploited breaking and almost killed the dance . Each one teach one . (btw i am well aware you met Poe One too , I got this information 2 years ago in his workshop in Malaysia ) :) Peace
@LiIpinoy10 жыл бұрын
Well I think he chooses the term "breakdance" because its not disrespecting bboying. His videos are only moves in bboying. Its not the whole culture of bboying. Sure, his videos are helpful to inform, and motivate dancers into the hip hop world...Its just that if someone learns the moves. Are they a bboy/bgirl ? In my definition, bboy/bgirl is when you immerse yourself into the world of this dance. To take part in multiple sessions of training then entering a Jam to gain rep whether through battles or cyphers. Also, even though Vincanity does teach power, execution, and freezes. He can't teach a "breakdancer" musicality and his/her own style. That flavor that makes the bboy known for. Yeeee
@crayonjambe751510 жыл бұрын
Yea, i hate it too when people call it breakdancing. Plus bboying sounds way better anyway.....
@VincaniTV10 жыл бұрын
Bboyz Rice Yo Thanks for the feedback. Poe is a friend of mine. The only reason I put breakdance is because that is what most people know this dance as. Once they watch my videos they will soon know from myself and other dancers I have featured what the real term for this dance is which is bboying or bgirling. My goal is to help share with people what the hip hop culture is, despite what the media portrays it as. What Poe means by "going off", "getting busy," ect. is thats what people used to say when they danced. This was before bboying had a name. Anyways hope that makes sense and if you have any other questions you can email me through my website.
@BboyRice10 жыл бұрын
How about you make a video about that ?
@VincaniTV10 жыл бұрын
Bboyz Rice for sure man. I have been planning something but I really want someone that lived in that era to explain it. From me would just be a story but from someone that was there it would be real.

Numerous moves have different names. Munchmills are also called babymills. Airflares are also called airtracks. Flares are also called Thomas flares (named after the creator I think...) coffee grinder is also called the helicopter. And even bboying itself has another name which is breakin. Or breakdancing (the name given it by the media...) and etc etc
