UTubeDownTheToilet Not the case i'm afraid. Adams was playing in the NBL (NZ national league) from age 16. So a) he has plenty of basketball experience and b) he's very used to physical contact. In this instance he played through that elbow from Carter (as he's used to doing - unlike your average NBA guy) and so when the whistle blew he was genuinely perplexed as to what the call would be.

Dude is the youngest of 18 siblings and the average height for the guys is 6'9'' and the girls is 6 foot. One of his sis is a gold medal winner in shot put for NZ. No wonder that elbow seemed like a mosquito bite to him. Haven't been watching this guy play in the regular season but after game 6 against Memphis I had to look him up since he was huge on the defensive end and reminded me of a young Dennis Rodman (as far as hustle and mental toughness). He will be a big asset going forward for okc. He def killed my pistons w/ his career high 17 points w/ 10 boards

***** so it's been almost a year since i wrote my op. I came back here because +EzyKASH KILA wrote a comment that dragged me back here. So far Adams has started of okc in all 50 games and is averaging a respectable 8 pts, 7 boards, 1 assist, and 1 block, mind you averaging 24 minutes of playing a game (so he only plays half a game and gets those #'s). Like moe lestangus said, he was a rookie last year, and it's only his second year for okc and he's starting. I think my op was a bit accurate saying he would be an asset to okc in the future imo. But then again I am bias..

@andrewzheng716110 жыл бұрын
don't get me wrong, i think Lebron is the best hooper on the planet and I actually like him, but i was talking about how he takes the contact. I feel like he overreacts sometimes when he feels the contact is enough to warrant a whistle and will almost never play through said contact. I also understand that its a part of the game and some people don't have any issues with it. there's no point in arguing about it place in the game; i personally am not a fan of it and think that he's too dominant to feel the need to resort to this tactic. Look i made this comment was at the beginning of the season, and i will say he's definitely cut back on it this year.
@andrewzheng716110 жыл бұрын
fair enough. i'll admit the criticism is unjust. it just used to irked me to see such a dominant player resort to tactics like one where he got the rebound, and pushed the ball into his own chin and dropped to his knee when there wasn't a foul

I disagree with Van Gundy here when he says the Mac’s are “totally right” about the missed call. Missed calls happen all the time. Adams’ foul was during play while he has trying to get the ball out from defenders. It didn’t look intentional and it wasn’t that hard. So to compare that to VC coming up to him after the play and elbowing him on purpose is ridiculous. I still blame the Mavs.
