And again Vince Gill proves to me why I respect and appreciate him and his music so much.

I agree with Vince. We once saw him at a county fair. He did a 45-minute sound check in front of about 50 people and it was as good or better than the show. I play in local bars and love it! Burlington Bill busking on the road and here on you tube.

I love Vince - but since I've seen the Eagles show at the Sphere - I have to respectfully disagree. I'm 65 and have heard and seen 100's of concerts - and the sound at the Sphere was the best sound at a concert I've ever experienced. He's right that the visuals are a huge part of things - but for those who are interested - just know how fabulous the sound is.

He was an established performer before he substituted with PPL. The original version of "Amy" is still far superior to any version with Gill.

My in-laws dragged me to an outdoor Country concert that had several big names, I suffered through the achey, breaky heart of Billy Ray Cyrus, and Tammy WhyNot standing by her man, but when Merle Haggard came on, they decided they were too tired, and wanted to leave. SMH I just got up and walked down the aisle to in front of the stage, and made them wait for me.

I enjoy to watch music being performed, if I want to just hear music at its purest form I would stay at home and listen to the LP on my kick ass home stereo. It’s fun to see the artist’s expressions, their actions, the glamour and glitz of show business!

Most people don’t even hear music…they need pyrotechnics.

The Eagles are only in it for the money, whereas someone like Dylan is doing it because his work is his life. Dylan gives a shit what the fans want. He does what he wants. Henley (in playback mode nowadays) and his greedy cohorts should go into retirement and Gill should get in contact with Craig Fuller and they should go and do a Pure Prairie League tour.

My idea of what a great group of musicians should be like on stage and in general , is the ' sideman ' mentality amongst each member . No front guy hogging all of the limelight ,swinging off chandeliers on stage ,dressed as a carrot ! A Band should be an equal entity where each person does their job well or the whole thing sounds horrible ..but that's just me ....

Vince sad to say it is no longer about good songs, lyrics, and musicianship. It's about razzle-dazzle me with video. Artists now have unfortunately come to use all the video effects to in some cases, hide their lack of real musical performance.

He brings boring to a whole new level. They ain't the Eagles anymore either without Leadon, Frey, Meisner, Felder. I hear they use backing tracks....

Vince has a point- some people love the visual aspect of the show, some are all about the music....but in Vegas, it's all about the SHOW. That's why it's Vegas.
