Zack is alive, the timelines will merge and he will sacrifice himself to save Aerith, making the fanbois happy and the fangirls..and other fanbois cry. Note the line at the beginning of the trailer, "the world won't end but will you", right after they shpwed alive Zack and we hear Aerith talking. Maybe we get a QTE, fail it, she suffers the same fate as oroginal, succeed and Zack steps in between and take the fatal stab.
