Vincent Will End Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 | NIGHTMARE BEGINS THEORY

Final Fantasy 7 Remake theory ahoy! Very similar to other themes I have discussed in the FF7R story but this time we are talking, Vincent Valentine! Dude is gonna be so huge in this game I feel and as per title, I think meeting Vincent could be the part 2 ending of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. For those who have seen my dreamspace theory videos, the theme of the nightmare begins would make for a super interesting dynamic imo. The nightmare of Nibelheim and the beginning of Sephiroths grand manipulation. Ending on Nibelheim and illusion of the town, the curse of madness that the mansion induces, Lucrecia and Hojos role in the story, sounds cool to me. It would be a great opportunity for Square Enix to expand the idea of negative lifestream and the terra corrupt Sephiroth has sown since Advent Children. Let me know what you FF7R lore junkies think ;)

Hey Pez! Thank you so much for posting this theory. My uncle passed away recently and he was the one who got me into Final Fantasy VII a long long time ago, which made it my favorite FF game of all time. He never got to play the Remake even though I found the game with his belongings after the funeral. I had so much regret for not being able to say goodbye to him when I lost him so suddenly but one thing I realized was that he was my Zack Fair. He was my hero and I want to be his living legacy and never forget him. I’m not going to live with regret and I’m going to play the Remake for him. I’ll finish this journey for him and I hope everyone here can help me get to the end. Thank you again for yet another amazing theory.

beautiful mate, it really was no exaggeration that FF7 remake advert that came out. The longest advert on tv about family reuniting to play FF7. I think a brother and sister reach out after a long time to say the remake is happening. It was real feelsy because you know the game was that bonding element for so many people. Late reply but I completely agree. Vincent is connected to the planet so having him be aware of everything that's happening and become a very important character is a natural direction for his character. They could even make him into the final boss to drive that home.

Just as if this post AC sephiroth wants cloud to awaken his jenova cells properly for a fight we do not yet know of but he does. For Zack I think your right that, zack is balanced between haplessness and sorrow he embraces it and drives it in a positive way that it fights off the jenova cells but only leaving the power enchantments with out the parasite.

Well done!! This was the most cohesive, smooth explanation. Also because final fantasy 7 has strong esoteric and alchemical roots, (ahem literally named a character Sephiroth) it makes sense. Breaking this story down into a parable of our human existence makes this game worth more than my weight in gold. Fuck that, it’s priceless.

I'm honestly surprised the first game didn't end in Kalm, that flashback sequence would have actually be a perfect spot to unpack the chaos they had just experienced while also leaving it on a cliffhanger of "we have a job to do"... while Cloud punches a cabinet because he's too short to reach a Megalixer

Instead of just leaving it at the "wtf?!" ending they gave it, there could have been a moment to explain a few things AND leave things with a cliffhanger to nearly ensure sales for the next game. The ending they gave us to part 1 was still a "cock tease"... but at least the Kalm sequence could have given it just a little more closure than "the unknown journey will continue"

@@GreenH0cker the subtle difference is the WTF ending finished all (most of) the new stuff in part one and leaves us ALL with no idea what is going to happen next. (A cliffhanger) Where as the Kalm ending would feel more like the stuff coming up next was simply being held back for the next game. We wouldn't have anything to talk about (because the moment in Kalm has been used to explain what happened) and you rob the next game of an interesting start, which we are all now eager to see. (Ie the neighbelhiem incident. Which I actual think makes for an awesome tutorial)

Vincent and Aerith are my two favorite characters of all time. I used to hardcore ship them when I was younger. Still do, and yes, I know it will never happen, and I'm okay with that. Now, I'm just REALLY anxious to see more interaction between the two and a friendship between them, because not only are they the complete opposite of each other, but they also have a lot in common. It would be interesting to see maybe Aerith leaving a deep impact on him by something she teaches him through actions or words and her friendship, that really stuck with him on a deeply personal level. It would make his line in the Forgotten Capital in Advent Children "I come here often" more impactful, because it could imply that he quite frequently visits Aerith's grave to pay his respects. It would be interesting and fun to see a "weird" connection between the two; nothing romantic in nature, just that they "get" each other in a weird way that others don't get them. Maybe Vincent is the last person she talks to before she actually goes to the Forgotten Capital, and only because Vincent figures out that she's up to something (the only one noticing that she's acting weirder than usual). Anyway, I'm rambling, and these are just my "headcanons", but I would just love to see a weird friendship between the two - I would be over the moon happy, and it would make for interesting dynamics (and interaction). I'm super curious about people's thoughts on this. :) "The hope that she left us, we must make stronger" - Vincent about Aerith in FFVII.

I also want to add that it would be interesting if Aerith asked Vincent if he knew Professor Gast, and she revealed to him that he was her father. Or implied it at least. Because I'm sure that she knew about Gast being her father, as her mother probably told her, and Hojo had probably talked about Gast at some point when she was a kid, most likely gloating about how he was the superior scientist, since Gast wouldn't go as far as he would in his experiments with Jenova. If Vincent knew Gast, that would be something that Aerith and Vincent could connect over. Ever since DoC, where it was revealed that Vincent's dad was a scientist, I've imagined that Grimoire and Gast knew each other. I hope that's the case at least.

The words "I came here often", it's actually because that place is near with Lucretia's grave. Vincent is always hanging around at Lucretia's after Sephiroth is gone. So it's make sense he pay a visit Aerith's place too when go to town. Well he didn't has any attachment toward anyone. The friendship between Cloud isn't that deep even he save him though his kindness. He also didn't close to anyone since he want a death.

@@diannatalia4488 It's actually not. Lucrecia's cave is close to Nibelheim. It makes sense that Vincent doesn't get attached to anyone; last time he did, he got his heart broken and was killed. Also, he's immortal, so anyone he gets attached to will die and he'll end up alone. But it's entirely possible for someone to leave an impact on one's life without being attached to them. I'm also convinced that Vincent isn't as detached as he appears to be, or rather, his detachment doesn't come from a lack of caring; he seems to think that nobody should be around him unless necessary, and it comes from perhaps a fear that he might harm someone involuntary, or simply believes that he's not worth anyone's friendship and affection.

I'm hoping it does end Part 2. Nibelheim is my favorite Town in the game. I love visiting Nibelheim and hearing about the Incident that helped make Seph such a memorable Antagonist in the series. This is probably the most insightful analysis of FFVII ive ever seen, some real big brain shit going on here and its really colouring my impression of the events of the remake in a really good way and leading me to appreciate the developments in it which honestly confused and concerned me more than a little initially. But I'm really impressed at the amount of thought in this video, I only wish these things were easier for me to discern by myself, but often artistic and expositional intentions are at odds especially in video games (and in movies). I duno mate. I read more that the flowers now have Pistils. Anybody notice that a lot more in this. I honestly think it's more focus is stressed in the detail of the flower. I also wanna touch on that scene with Marlene knowing who Aerith is. I'll call if for the sake of it, "Catching Marlene up to speed". I honestly think here everything changed, that even the roles of the characters have progressed. Seph doesnt want to absorb the lifestream by summoning meteor, he wants the promised land. Jess, biggs, wedge roles have changed. Marlene is even different. I'm calling it now. and it's darkish. Setting the scene at the Ancient city...Aerith Praying, Cloud comes in, but this time....no Seph shows up... Which means holy is summoned, for what? How dark would it be if the gang realized, that this was supposed to happen and Seph was supposed to kill Aerith..and at that moment Aerith has a realization, " I was supposed to die here, today!!! I don't understand why is the rules changing? If not me...then...why, where is he?" Cut's to shot of Aeirths House and cloaked figured walking towards it. Suggesting Seph has come to take Marlene instead. That Marlene is the link that needs to be broken this time. Maybe Marlene is the dream weaver. That's how she was able to connect to cloud unknowingly allowing Aerith to come visit him at the house. The flower perhaps speak through her.

Maybe both him and Lucrecia find a way to sacrifice themselves for the planet; it would be their only way to move on to the afterlife instead of being immortal and suffer endlessly. Then they meet Aerith in the lifestream and she helps them to be at peace (like in Maiden Who Travels the Planet).

The developers could go more into lucrecia explaining to vincent why she did the things she did instead of the poor excuse of an story dirge of cerberus presented. They need to let both vincent and lucrecia "get all their thoughts out in the open, let it off their chest" type of way.

Nibelheim is the most logical place to end - we'll get good background on all the characters by then (barret, red etc) and have a big WTF when they get back to nibelheim. Part 2 should start with calm and the big OMG sephiroth burned down clouds home town ---and by the end it's like wait WUT it's not true!?? perfect cliff hanger. They can treat vincent the same as RED in part 1

Not played either myself but Crisis Core/Dirge of Cerberus have massively built on the Nibelheim incident/Vincent's past so plenty of justification to end at Nibelheim....only drawback is no Cid (unless the story changes.)

I think you're getting close. I'll point out a few minor things though. Yes, as far as I can tell Aerith from the future is sending messages to the past. The novel Flower Maiden expressly points out she actually can't send herself anywhere, but she can share a part of herself with others in the life stream (implying whispers) to merge their thoughts. These whispers then allow you to beat the shit out of them so that you can harm the others. They try to reach out to Aerith but fail at the beginning. Past-(present) Aerith can't see them initially. In fact she can't see them at all even as they swarm and attack her until she touches Cloud. Watch that moment carefully, the eye and face language, there's no targets, no focus, she looks down at the ground and swats away at a feeling, at some kind of disruption, at sounds.. she can't see them. Then she touches Cloud's arm and suddenly her eyes go wide, her jaw drops, she's bewildered.. "What are these!?" Each time you encounter with an infected "Whisper", which happens to be pinkish-purple (so purple because of Jenova-Sephiroth influence aka "dark lifestream" from Dirge of Cerberus and the entire On the Way to a Smile novel series [with the choice of purple over black] and pink [Aerith's messages from Flower Maiden]... you attack such strange Whispers that refuses to fight which in turn allow you to fend off the other Whispers... And after each one, Aerith seems to know " a little more" about what's going on when she is with you as you fight them. After an onslaught of them, Aerith is finishing sentences... but at the end, she doesn't know why she did something... she feels that each time one of them (the pinkish purple ones) touch her, she "loses a part of herself"... because her future self is merging thoughts, memories, feelings with her and influencing her.

Could Sephiroth be trying to turn Cloud into a "new Sephiroth" in the remake? Knowing how it ended in the OG game with Cloud defeating him? I can be totally wrong but I'm 90% sure in this new timeline Sephiroth is already dead (willingly, to modifiy following events) and is manipulating the story and navigating through the lifestream, like Aerith once did in the OG game. Making Cloud becoming even more powerful than he was already destined to become by gathering more darkness and negative energy to ultimately turn him into a more ominous threat than Sephiroth himself was in the OG story. Midgar is a massive zone that took a minimum 5 hours to 10 hours max in the OG, the amount of story that went off in there pretty should've been its own disc, while everything between midgar and Nibelheim is roughly the same amount of time (as you have Kalm/flashback, Junon/costa, coral/saucer, canyon/nibelheim as the main hubs) plus it would be amazing if part 2 begins with cloud explaining sephiroth and ending with the gang at nibelheim with a crazy crowd trying to capture them with a beefed up materia keeper blocking the way out in the mountains.

So Peasant, just thinking on it: Aerith said or indicated that she doesn't have all the clarity of the future - parts of her memories or future knowledge getting taken away in memory-fragments by the Whispers (The Whispers, now gone, as far as we know), but thinking on this: If she remembers what Holy did in the ending - reversing its power to end Midgar - perhaps too, Humanity - than why would Aerith summon Holy again? Maybe this time she won't, if she does have that memory of her spirit in the Lifestream stopping Holy with the entire energy of the Lifestream in the OG ending, that now, in this present new timeline, she may have to choose to die to join the Lifestream once again to save the world from Sephiroth, or if Holy is summoned again at all - or she may choose not to summon Holy entirely, knowing it won't work. Sephiroth, if he does know everything leading up to and beyond DoC, actually may want her to summon Holy because that will give him what he wants: The assumed death of all Humanity and he may not end up killing her because that would disadvantaged him (as her spirit in the Lifestream is stronger than when she was alive, being the last soul of a Cetra not yet dispersed into the stream/that still has her shape/memories and a human consciousness and can bring back other human conciousness' too, like with Jessie, Biggs, Wedge, and also Zack. She can make the Lifestream stronger, in a sense - a Lifestream that may fight back against Sephiroth) and his plans of obtaining a vast amount of the Lifestream's energy, from a massive extinction event. He may want to keep her alive, but maybe captive eventually. That being said, if that plan fails, perhaps Chaos/Omega will be Sephiroth's next back up plan, by using Vincent. We will have to wait and see. Sephiroth knows the end game, but not what the players moves will be. Edit: 32:57: "Connection between Planet and Human...That's what Marlene is there to represent-" You know, also thinking on this, as it's very important concerning the Future of The Planet and Humanity living upon it: The Planet has tried twice now, to eradicate Humanity, once in the OG ending and in DoC. The Planet is trying to wipe-out people as it sees Humans as a threat. If Humanity, on a massive scale can reconnect to the Planet, maybe again hear the voices and communicate to the Lifestream like Aerith can do or even Bugenhagen/Marlene can somewhat hear the voices, then Humanity might rekindle that connection to the Planet - hearing its suffering, and then The Planet likely won't try to exterminate Humanity on a whole. Maybe that is the real ending, that Aerith is now trying to achieve, from what she saw in the Lifestream in OG events/likely saw too, in the beginning of Remake: A goal to have other people awaken their inner connection to the Planet, because the future is bleak for those that do not hear The Planet's suffering, as the Planet will keep trying to wipe them out until this version of eco-life draining people are gone, compared to the Cetra, that lived in Harmony with the Planet, helping it thrive. --- I hope this comment doesn't get lost in a sea, but if you see it, have a good day, man! it would make sense to end it in Nibelheim, they would already have the asset rendered for the flashback and the actual visit. You will gain more prospective on each of the characters in Cosmo canyon sitting around the fire while RedXIII tells his sad back-story to the group. (prepare to cry!) Or something totally new will happen and we will get to use a soft or golden needle on the totally random statue-thing that I'm not going to name for fear of spoiling a good story for some one who never played the original ff7.

In terms of the original game it would make sense to end at Nibelheim since it's got to be a pivotal moment in the story BUT I don't think it'll happen. There's too much to happen before hand and also there's every chance it'll end on a totally new segment of the game sandwiched in-between something we've seen in the original. That would make sense since it's effectively a new game.

That internal lifestream thing, I do wonder if the only way to get a good ending out of all this is to fix Sephiroth somehow by neutralizing the negative with the positive. Cus... killing him, killing in general, seems to just empower him/Jenova, if my understanding of the whole purple/yellow, negative/positive, battle for the Soul of the Planet thing we have going on here is accurate. If balance is the point, then how do you solve the main conflict without it? You can't. Killing Sephiroth, Sephiroth killing, just adds more negative to the pile and throws it all further out of whack. I dunno. Ever since Aerith's speech on the bridge about how the reason Seph is the threat to the planet, the reason he's so "wrong", is shown in the cries of the planet "rolling off his back", I felt like they're saying the solution to all this is to get thru to him and restore his empathy/humanity somehow. Cus otherwise, he rezzes, he time travels; killing him doesn't work. Saving him might. Though that might just be my love of redemption arcs talking. I do feel like Sephiroth is a tragic figure.

Wonderful stuff Pez!!! Hopefully all of these theories are relatively true, they are all very plausible. This stuff can shape FFVII as a whole into something so crazy, heart-wrenching, and epic. For Vincent, I always figured he should have had a bigger role after seeing that FFVII cutscene with Lucrecia and him being a Turk and everything...I suppose that's why Dirge of Cerberus was made. Maybe we'll be able to get a ton more context from him in the remake story, he might also have some clairvoyance on what's going on, like Aerith. I was wondering about Nibelheim being the place of nightmares...Is it because the first reactor holding Jenova is there causing so much anguish and making people go mad? Because, at that time, Jenova was still a whole being, while in the drum it doesn't really happen because it's not complete. Maybe Jenova's head having the brain and Sephiroth taking it into the depths of the lifestream is what allows Sephiroth to do what he does. Of course later on reunion happens and I guess all of Jenova disperses into the lifestream...isn't that somehow worse? Jenova just sucks haha. But then on to another point, I wanted to do a ton of research on this stuff and you're far more knowledgeable on this stuff, but because of the many references to FFX in FFVII...can we safely apply many of the same universal rules from X to VII?...Light and dark Aeons representing dreams and nightmares...all the general talk of dreams and sin...Midgar existing in the singularity space seems so similar to Tidus existing in the Zanarkand space...and Auron is like Sephiroth in that he's like an oracle between each reality. There's so much stuff to look at, I know you've mentioned a lot of this stuff in previous videos as well, like death and the farplane with memories and everything...it's all so interesting and cool to think about!

If you read through the item descriptions, Lucrecia and Prof Grimoire hypothesize that "Chaos will arrive at the Lake 'at the chosen time'" after the tablet. And the description for the proto-materia says "Said to be the means of destruction, or salvation to the planet in its gravest of times, born from the Lifestream itself" I think that whole "Is my son dead?" from Lucretia is going to be waaaaaay more important in this game than we think lol

First time posting, lurked for awhile. Love your content and trying to theory craft elements of 7's world! FF7 was my first Final Fantasy and I love it still to this day. Vincent is a BIG problem for just about everyone, not just Sephiroth. Me and my friend have theory crafted an idea and would love to run it by you. Meteor...is a red herring. The thing that gets me is everything in Dirge of Cerberus will probably be tied into this retelling and not just Vincent, but the Proto Materia is gonna be the key for Sephiroth/Jenova to "achieve their goal". Chaos arrives to take out the negative energy and Omega Weapon will appear to siphon the good life stream and then "sail the cosmos" to find a new planet to start over anew. So, let's say towards the end Meteor gets stopped by Holy, but of course leaves some damage on the Planet. Something tells me Meteor is going to be used to trick the Planet into thinking it is about to expire, Omega Weapon appears and starts to do its thing...but Sephiroth/Jenova are there controlling it (Proto Materia). The image of Omega Weapon corrupted by Jenova is terrifying and would fit with "Sailing the Cosmos, just as my Mother did all those years ago" makes me think this could be the possible endgame. Of course this is just a fun theory to consider. Keep up the great work!

I love this! The Protomateria and Vincent are probably going to be huge in the Remake. Afterall, Protomateria means 'original materia' and there is none like it. I can see Vincent being a big problem for Sephiroth, and it's odd that Vincent's pretty much the only one who avoids getting into a direct conflict with Sephiroth. He even holds the gang back when they want to go after him to help Cloud. And if we're going to consider the idea of 'who to blame for all this' so to speak-- I would think Vincent is looking at all of this destruction and death as his responsibility. Yes this is all Sephiroth's doing, but Vincent was also the one who knew of it and did nothing to stop Sephiroth from being created. I think of all our team mates, Vincent has the biggest regret on his shoulders, and would only find redemption by taking Sephiroth down himself. I'd be totally interested to hear your full theory on this sometime. Awesome stuff!

@@jamesgravil9162 I reflected on this and I think it will be Genesis too as the absolute final boss in Part 2. Since this is a sequel, we know Genesis HAS to be addressed in Remake project and this seems like a fitting opportunity. Shinra Manor in Nibelheim and Mt Nibel reactor has specimens and I’m sure they will integrate G specimens story arc somehow, so we likely fittingly will face Genesis - I can see this with the appearance of Hojo somehow. I like this idea. But we need more bosses before Genesis showdown and I think they could be the following: - Lost Number could be a minor boss - instead of coming out of the safe in shinra manor in original, I think it will appear in the creepy basement area before Vincent encounter. - Vincent could potentially be a boss at first encounter and he could transform as one of his limit break monsters, and afterwards being a guest party member like Red XIII in Part 1. - OR what could happen is Vincent tell Cloud to go away, and as we exit the Lost Number enemy appears as a boss fight and then Vincent comes to help the party in the battle and joins as a Guest character. - Jenova fight near at Mt Nibel reactor area - I think the Jenova fight at the ship from Junon should be scrapped and placed in Nibelheim instead - it’s more fitting. - Genesis could use Bahamut Neo materia to call upon Bahamut Neo before the fight with him. Good way to tease Bahamut Neo materia obtainable in Part 3 (if propose it’s obtained in the Temple of the Ancients where the original Bahamut materia was obtained in the original). I think it’s a better way to present Neo Bahamut instead of just finding its materia laying on the floor, plus it’s red colour goes well with Genesis’ red attire. In Remake part 1 they was a Whisper Bahamut fight at the end so another Bahamut fight would work. - Hojo could use the Odin Materia in the Shinra Manor against the party where we must defeat Odin before obtaining its materia - which I think is an acceptable deviation from obtaining Odin materia from the Shinra Manor safe. - the encounter with Sephiroth in Shinra Manor library could be brief boss fight if they absolutely must have Sephiroth fight again - that would be a reasonable interpretation with the encounter with Sephiroth in the library since Sephiroth does charge at Cloud library before disappearing. Due to so much potential in Nibelheim, and given Nibelheim is such a significant location (especially because we’d start Part 2 at Nibelheim flashback in Kalm) it’s rational to end Part 2 in Nibelheim - it just goes well with the narrative. Also it is the right place to address Zack appearing at the end of Remake Part 1.

Wonder if Diabolos could play a role in the Remake, interesting to note how the summon was in 6 and 8 but skipped 7. I could see the entity being used as a reason behind Nibelheim's negativity, a domain where despair exist by corrupting the dreams of the inhabitants within. Now if Vincent falls into the same situation as Aerith, I wonder if his outlook on the scenario could be different, would he know right away that Aerith is lying about how much she knows and try to call her out on it? Thinking on it, with both Vincent and Yuffie, they are very interesting characters to work into the Remake, since their "optional" nature didn't put them to strongly into the plot, while they hide their own side stories their overall success to the main scenario in reality is that they weren't needed. I wouldn't be surprised if the Final Boss of Part 2 was Vincent being consumed by the negativity of Diabolos and fighting a Dream World Version of Chaos in dream state, where it's Aerith who has to bring light to the situation in order to give the heroes a chance of fighting back.

Interesting theory and i wholeheartedly agree with vincent being a integral part with facing sephy. Imo, i think how its gonna go is sephys going to try corrupting weiss or become the embodiment of darkness that omega senses this and activates. The original explanation i remember from doc was that omega only activates when the planet is about to die and chaos is the reaper that takes all souls on the planet to return them to the lifestream for omega to harvest. This is where deepground comes into play. If sephy essentially corrupts the lifestream fully, it could trick omega into thinking that the planet is dying because itll sense all the negative emotions gathered into the lifestream. How will that happen? By executing what deepground did in doc and only taking ppl with negative emotions into the lifestream. Thats probably why he wont kill aerith and how zack couldve survived. He knows that their internal lifestreams wnt be corrupted thus he doesnt want them in his lifestream so he manipulated events in zacks scenario so he wouldnt die and get absorbed. I also have a feeling that sephys going to kill barret and the others after putting them into despair so as to strengthen his dark stream as well as torture cloud. He knows how much tifa means to cloud fer example and if he seperates aerith and kills tifa, cloud doesnt have anything to stop him from falling into despair. By gathering only the purest forms of negative emotion into the lifestream, omega will activate as well as chaos. Vincent will have to fight a corrupted omega and lucrecia may even sacrifice herself as an alternative to the proto materia to get vincent to keep chaos under control. After vincent defeats omega and stops it from launching, he helps cloud and zack enter the core of omega where sephy is waiting. Either way, is nomura so im expecting some crazy ass plot points

I can totally picture Vincent being the last boss of part 2! Sephiroth wrecked so much the timeline in part one, Gaea had to purge him and sent the harbingers who failed. In part 2, Sephiroth clearly won't stop messing with how it should be, so Gaea should send Chaos to eradicate thr menace and, you know what I think? I believe she will send Vincent as Chaos, that he will fail and join the party, and Gaea will have no other choice than send her must powerful asset. A guardian very, very close to the lifestream and her power. So powerful, she could protect the planet from the most dangerous attack it was ever threatened with... the meteor. I think Gaea will send Aerith, the last Cetra, bearer of the white materia, who could merge with the lifestream itself to protect the planet, as her last stand. So, Aerith will not die by the hands of Sephiroth, like in OG, but her fate will be sealed as Gaea will reclaim her to protect her lifestream and she would be the boss of the 3rd part!

SE changed Sephiroth's height to about 190-200 cm when it used to be 6ft 1" (185cm) and Vincent would be the second tallest aside from Barret, so he would have to be at least 190cm as well.

This is exactly what I predicted when discussing with friends too. Down to a T actually. Start with Clouds recollection of Nibelheim, end with modern Nibelheim and a final battle on Mt Nibel, where Sephiroth first learned the truth. Its poetic from a narrative point of view and still covers about the same amount of game as Part 1. I even suggested Vincent being an uncontrollable guest for the last chapter. Chapter 1: Nibelheim flashback, tutorials. Chapter 2: Kalm, likely Shinra encounters while hunting for Avalanche. Chapter 3: Grasslands Area, Yuffie encounter. Chapter 4: Marshlands. Chapter 5: Mythril Mine Etc. I've actually plotted out a full 18 chapter part 2, and including now-mandatory Yuffie, Ft Condor and Gongaga, and it ends with chapter 17 and 18 in Nibelheim and Mt Nibel respectively.

I think it should end when a certain someone gets Sephiroth'd... The reason is because of the feeling afterwars. Remember the first time, when it happened, then the disc ends and you're staring at that screen, no music, just "please insert disc 2" while you sit there quietly taking in what just happened.. and it was perfect because it made you take it in for a moment. also if it ends earlier I feel like the game will either be rushed towards the end or we will just have 28 discs of FF7

Im fully on board with a lot of things happening in remake differently because they are simply Jenova illusions. Its entirely possible all of the whispers arent real. It was Jenova fucking with peoples heads under Sephiroths control and once it was released from Hojos grasp it had the strength to create the arbitor to fool the party into thinking they achieved a major victory that could change the tides of fate.

I don't even know what I "did" to unlock him, I just remember walking up on that casket like, "hmm.. that's strange. Let me click on it" lol and thus, one of my favorite character was born.
