I don't really agree with these points. If an ex leaves you, then decides to come back to you, THEY should have something to say, not the dumpee. They're the ones who broke things, which means THEY have to be the ones who fix it. THEY should be the 2.0 version of themselves. They need to be on their absolute best behavior, and be willing to do all the hard work and heavy lifting to make things work because the dumpee is now in the position of power, since the dumper is the one who wants to return. The dumper is the one who has to prove themself now, not the other way around.

This is true in some instances, but not always. I never heard from my ex again after she dumped me by text nearly sixteen months again. She is now with somebody else and has been for nearly a year. I suspect she monkey branched and things are working out for them. I used to care. Now I really don't. Their loss.

I totally understand your situation. I think my ex was dismissive avoidant and run away at first road block. I decided to leave him alone coz woman who I was suspecting him about stopped contacting me too (they were part of my hiking/walking group). Rejection is painfull but betrayal is excruciating. I'm still not completelly over but learned soo much about myself, did shadow work (dysfunctional childchood) ended up in recovery for codependency and successfully healing other stuff as well. Gratefull for this experience now and seeing it in completelly different light.

Bro my ex and I didn’t talk for 18 months. She dated someone else for 6 months. When we got back in contact, she told me she liked me more than anyone she’s ever dated and thought about me all the time. So much so, that the guy took her phone and blocked my IG cause she probably would talk about me. She made another IG account, I presume so she could still stalk me.

I have been in a bad place for a couple of months last weekend i finally said right time to go out and try and socialise any way long story short i bumped into a girl i used to go to school with she is absolutely beautiful and we are going out next weekend life goes on boys dont let it pass you by for someone who doesn't care and leaves you in the dirt

I don’t really agree with this. If you were a good person and the other person just couldn’t appreciate it because of all their deeply buried BS and insecurity there’s no need to jump through hoops and put on a dog and pony show for someone who wasn’t worth your time or deserved you in the first place. If the dumper broke it it’s up to them to repair it and put it back. Period. Own your mistakes and take responsibility but you’re not the person who quit on the relationship. They did.

My ex (50) didn't contact me for 16 months but he didn't say he wont contact me ever again. I went no contact from the first day. I decided if he is leaving me at the first road block and doesn't want to open up and communicate with me then it's an answer of huge immaturity and I won't be able to build anything healthy with this person. 1 month is still nothing, it's the worst stage to be in but it will ease

Give it more time. A month isn’t much time. Especially if they are avoidant, it takes 6+ weeks for them to really miss you. You have to completely live life as if they aren’t alive anymore. No story watching, liking, messaging in any way. Take it from a guy that was in no contact for 1.5 yrs… she told me she thought about me all the time. Oh, and back in December (we had been talking again for 4 months at that time) she told me she never wanted to talk to me again. But then she would still watch my stories and I watched hers still. She would post things to imitate me and try to get my attention. Recently she posted a reel on IG of her doing an exercise at the gym that was sentimental to us, and I liked it because I thought it was subliminal. She messaged me within minutes, reminiscing about those times. It doesn’t really mean anything, I know, but it’s proof that emotions constantly are fluctuating and just because she said that when she felt that way at that time, it doesn’t mean she will feel that way months or years later.

But if that car gets stolen, you begin to miss the car and all the luxuries it provided. Even if it’s just a means for transportation… its absence is going to affect you. And suddenly, you stop dreaming of all the other cars you could own, and you just want THAT car back. It’s the same way with people

It is not easy by any means! But 3 months is very short not long at all. Yes negative feelings would still be there. Just keep no contact.
