My soon-to-be ex-wife tick a lot of boxes for the midlife crisis : - talked a lot about how she felt old (she is only 36 years old but talked about that at 35 and was always insecure about herself) - has the same job for 10 years. Same tasks, same place, same boss and nearly same salary. She's been talking about quitting for 10 years because it's draining her physically and emotionnaly but never had the courage to - we were in a 14 years long relationship and both became complacent - was bored of our longtime friends because they nearly all have kids. Everytime we saw them there were at least 3 kids running around and there were a lot of discussions about them. And she doesn't like kids and was always 200% clear she didn't want one - started to hang out with a new friend group last year, they were all younger than her and most of them didn't have kids and their ideal party was "playing and drinking" - she was full of traumas and insecurities she never worked on, always saying "that's how I am I can't do anything about it". Of courses she finally cheated on me with one of her new "friends". He is 32 years old (I'm 38) and is basically a downgrade on every point. I said bye bye.
