I agree, I've been living in Dubai since 2022 and my experience is similar to yours. I have a financial business and the main reason I decided to move to Dubai is because here I don't pay any taxes whatsoever. In Western Europe (where I'm from) I'd have been tax raped. That's the biggest pro about living in Dubai. Other pros are the safety, the very high level of services, it's a 24/7 city if you live in the right neighborhoods, it's very well connected through the Dubai airport, the sunshine. I agree that you can meet lots of incredible people in Dubai, a lot of times I read haters writing that in Dubai there are only scammers, arrogant bigots, self absorbed and narcissistic people ecc. Based on my experience these are everywhere, in every city in Europe. Dubai is no exception. But you can find so many interesting people here, people that have my become friends and that have something to teach you. Actually I think Dubai is a better place to connect with high value people because in other cities in Europe a lot of groups are already established and closed off to "outsiders"....everybody has already his own social circle and it's tough to break in, whereas here people are all new and open to meet new people....that's why people in Dubai are friendlier. As for the cons of living in Dubai: the weather is unbearable from May to early October, dating options suck compared to Europe as Dubai attracts mostly guys but very few European women are moving here, there is a lack of green spaces, it's a car-centric city which isn't very pedestrian friendly with highways passing through the city, internet is expensive and renting an apartment is also expensive although cheaper compared to the other cities/countries with no capital gains tax (Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland). Overall I like living here although I won't be staying here permanently

I am glad you talked about the air quality as most KZbin videos don't mention it.

Great insight as usual. I would say Dubai and by extension other major Gulf cities like Doha are run like companies which suits us as individuals more, and that is why many entrepreneurs are moving to such cities as Dubai.

Maybe they can go 100% electric cars, the only thing at this point that will get rid of the pollution being such a car centric city.
