In Vince Russo’s own book. He writes about how he thought that JR was dropping the ball on signing talent. So with Vince McMahon’s permission. Russo wrote: ”If JR wasn't going to do his job. I’m going to do it for him”. ”I actually started to personally recruit talent. JR couldn't have been happy about this but then again. I really didn't care”.

The part about the guy saying Vince was a "fame monster" obviously shows that he bought into Vince's on-screen persona so much that he thinks that's who Vince Russo really is. Russo's character was one of the most underrated on-screen heels of the 21st century.

So you turn your other cheek to see if they attack you again If they do, you know they're an enemy, who you must defend yourself again. It's about being certain against who you retaliate against.

Vince Russo respects the ”s” out or JR BUT... In his book, Russo rips on JR for being a horrible talent relations guy and praises Bischoff as a better person for that type of role. Russo writes about how fed up he was with Ross and his talent recruitment that he started contacting talent himself. I listen to Bruce, and I've found quite A bit of things he has stated on his show dont match up. I listen to Cornette, Bruce, Bischoff and Vince . For the longest Vince didnt react or respond to any of their jabs that were made towards him. From my viewpoint , Vince ignored the jabs made at him, but it seemed like everyone started to pile on with the Russo hate, so of course anybody would defend themselves if put in the position. Bruce's ego will allow him to "die on the hill" trying to claim what he said is true, even though it has already been proven to be wrong, by two parties involved in it.

I think everyone who interviewing Bruce Prichard needs clarify when "Vince" is mention to ask: "Are you talking about Vince McMahon or Vince Russo cause this doesn't sound right?" If you respected Ross enough to handle the legal side of things wether you should be talking to other talent or not Ross would've advised you because talent relations was his job he should've been who you went to.
