The last true heel in wrestling was jinder mahal he had legit heat and hatred from the fans. Roman reigns was a babyface playing a heel but was not exactly a heel since he was cheered by the fans and now even mjf is a babyface based on the pop he got in his return. Its simple a heel is supposed to be hated and a face is to be liked this is something dave needs to understand.

Alvarez, for the first time in his life, is 100% correct. Look at Mark Henry and Big Show for example. Both has lackluster careers due to to many quick turns from face to heel. Nobody learns from stuff like this. If they want to turn someone, it needs to be a drawn out process and they need to remain heel or face for a good chunk of time. Otherwise you confuse the audience.

I wouldn't say it confuses the audience as much as it makes them apathetic about the wrestler. A heel turn for a beloved baby face is supposed to break a fans heart. When the super cool heel learns from his of her mistakes and embraces the baby face role the crowd explodes with joy. When you don't give the gimmick enough time to do either, the crowd doesn't give two shits
