Man, the Vindicare Assassin is my favorite non-named character in the game. Last time I played my Vindicare blew Abaddon's brains out after he killed the Eversor. It was for the game and was super dramatic if you were there.

Vindicare assassin the only one who get's the shaft with more lore stated failure then any other assassin temple. Like seriously look it up. It makes it even more funny when it is stated that Vindicare assassins often act as leaders for groups of different assassins.

Vindicare is my nr 1 favourite assassin and it has been that since i was 10 when i started to collect and play. I joined the second edition era. I still collect and play to day and i will continue to do so. Vindicare one shot one kill. 1. Vindicare 2. Eversor 3. Culexus 4. Callidus

Me when trying y to explain how the Officio Assassinorum "chooses" their new group of assassins to a regular person, "Imagine the Hunger Games not on steroids but on Bruce Banner/Hulk lvls of Gamma radiation where your locked up in a mile long ship, in the dark, sometimes in blinding bright light and everyone is trying trying to kill each other for limited food, air, hiding places to sleep for months if not years on end. The winners prize is brain/body modifications and even crazier LvLs of training for years if not decades

I get that this is a human dominated setting written by humans, but why are humans the greatest assassins in the setting? The dark eldar are based of of fantasy's dark elves and they were known for having fantastic assassins, and the lore states they're full of assassins. Where's the legendary dark eldar assassins? (Yes I understand the contradiction of an assassin being legendary) The shapeshifting assassin literally use stolen necron tech, so why don't the necrons have their own high level assassin unit? This is just a smaller part of the bigger issue of the entire setting playing second fiddle to the humans. Sometimes it really doesn't feel like the imperium is always on the back foot when they're constantly given all the best characters and biggest baddest weapons. And to a lesser extent chaos doesn't really feel like a universal threat when the only pawn it really uses is humans. Although the assassin part feels like one of the easiest parts to fix, just say the high level xeno assassins are so stealthy and good at killing people that no one's found them and those who did didn't live to tell the story. That's the in universe explanation as to why we aren't seeing any cool xeno assassin units until now.
