The IMDB page for MK: Mythologies is neat. Everybody on there has a rad career. For example, Richard Divizio (the guy who plays Quan Chi here) plays these other physical roles: -Kano in Mortal Kombat 1 -Baraka in Mortal Kombat 2 -Kano and Kabal in Mortal Kombat 3 -Foot Soldier in TMNT II: Secret of the Ooze It's gotta be Peking Palace, man. To everyone sad about Peking Palace: IT'S NOT CLOSED I eat at the restaurant formerly known as Peking Palace in Portage, MI. I live in kalamazoo and that place is actually pretty good. It's called the Ziingo restaurant now. Gonna ask about the game next time I eat there. Will report back on findings

MKvsDC is good, but the fatalities aren’t. DC didn’t want all their heroes getting horribly mutilated, so Netherrealm had to tone everything down. Other than that, the gameplay is really fun.

This was sad to watch. Joel didn't even try to learn how the game works. He probably should have just played _Special Forces._ That game, at least, doesn't play like _Mortal Kombat._ And, no, I couldn't do better. But, I would be more persistent, at least!

When I watch stuff of his like this, I often feel similarly. If he had more pluck, and less of the "this game is considered bad so I'm going to intentionally not care and contrive bad things about it to fit in with what people think" attitude, he could make these one-offs not just good, as they end up, but great. The increased effort would result, as it always does in my experience, in running jokes and riffing on things and humorous situations that you just can't get when you're half-assing, and there's a deceptive need -- truly, NEED! -- expressed in everything, video game playthrough or whatever, for genuine involvement and following through. This could have been two parts long, or maybe even three, while being as entertaining as it is presently, and while being a superior and complete experience. Instead, it's the start of such an experience, followed by a disappointing fast forward through lost potential.
