I don't think what the two commenters above me mentioned fully capture this kind of horror. It's about taking something so innocent and then adding something so jarringly out of place and then leaving the onlooker without any further information. It's hard to find something that captures that well. It's a very disturbing kind of horror that, if immersed enough, can leave you thinking for a while, despite its simplicity. The music here really adds to it as well, just underlining how wrong that scene was.

25:53 is what Detective Pikachu would be as an 18+ game. CHAPTER 1: TAHNTI PARK 0731 AM, March 16th. An ordinary Tuesday. MCPD gets an anonymous 911 call about an Aipom involved in an accident in Tahiti Park. We arrived in scene 4 minutes later, about a minute after EMS. The Aipom was marked dead on the scene. The deceased was a male Aipom, non-description ethnicity, aged between 3 and 4 years. No tags, no collar… wasnt malnourished like a stray, though. Cause of death initially appeared to be a crush injury from a falling object… a quick examination of the crime scene told otherwise. The object in question, a large rock, had definitely hit the victim - several times, in fact. Enough to cave the poor bastard’s skull in to the point you couldn’t see his eyes. There was more blood on the ground than in him. Whatever killed this Aipom was deliberate, and someone had tried to cover it up with a 911 call. Now it’s up to Tim and I to catch this sick bastard… the serial killer dubbed *The Crusher*.

Yeah... not too proud about doing all that to pikachu. I'd like to reiterate that you don't need any advanced technical knowledge to do this kind of stuff. I barely know what a float is and I still use my fingers to count. Just time and patience. There's lots of guides on the RTC cord and the people are very helpful and sometimes randomly break out in fights but mostly helpful. (Edit. I meant not my proudest as in I would never show this to anyone I know in real life. But thank you though, the nice words are very appreciated.)

Eventually, none will live up to expectations anymore, because at some point the amount you can tickle out of it will plateau. By now, the RTC is no longer an experiment. The randomness factor that used to make corruptions like "Sonic has passed" or Sen creepy is now gone, as the corruptor is now just a heuristic. But, on the other hand, without it, things like this would hardly be possible, and it certainly is a fun way to achieve this, and possibly a much easier way to achieve certain effects. These corruptions certainly did blow me away. But it's simply sad the times where we laughed just as much at kirby cycling through unused sprites and random data being read as sound are now gone.
